MECHANICSBURG, Pa. – A total of eight District 10 players – three from Hickory and two from Oil City were voted to the Pennsylvania Football Writers Class 3A All-State team.

Hickory, a PIAA semifinalist, was represented by defensive lineman Luke Lewis, defensive back Jadon Phillips and specialist Lukas Jones.

Phillips was named YDL Sports Network Rookie of the Year after accounting for 10 interceptions.

The two Oiler players honored were offensive lineman Henry Milford and running back Ethen Knox. A offensive line powered by Milford paved the way for Knox, the YDL Sports Network Offensive Player of the Year. Knox ends his high school career as District 10’s all-time leading rusher with 7,870 yards smashing the previous mark set by former Meadville standout Journey Brown of 7,027 yards. As a senior, Knox, despite missing a game due to injury, still rushed for 2,340 yards (7.9 ypc) and 34 touchdowns, an average of 234 yards per game.

They were joined on the team by Grove City quarterback Hunter Hohman, the YDL Sports Network District 10 MVP, Sharon defensive lineman Brodie Miller, the YDL Sports Network Defensive Lineman of the Year, and North East athlete Jamari Curlett.

Belle Vernon’s Quinton Martin was named the Player of the Year and his coach, Matt Humbert, Coach of the Year.
