It was another banner year for District 10 boys’ volleyball, with the end result being eight players earning Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association All-State honors.

Beginning in Class 2A, Cochranton middle hitter Chase Miller, along with Mercyhurst Prep outside hitter Octavian Sperry and Meadville outside hitter Jackson Decker were first team.

Mercyhurst Prep and Cochranton met four times during the season, splitting during the regular season, with Mercyhurst Prep winning the D10 title and Cochranton coming back and beating the Lakers in the state semifinals, ultimately finishing as the PIAA runner-up. Meadville was the PIAA runner-up a year ago.

Garnering second team honors were Cochranton setter Andrew Custead and Mercyhurst Prep middle hitter David Bahm.

Earning honorable mention were a pair of outside hitters – Cochranton’s Landon Homa and Meadville’s Luc Sorensen.
