CLARION, Pa. – After leading her team to the District 9 Class 1A championship for the first time since 1996, Elk County Catholic senior outside hitter Tori Newton was voted as the Pennsylvania Volleyball Coaches Association District 9 Class 1A MVP.
Her ECC teammates Reagan Bauer and Kiri Emmert, was also chosen as first team and third team D9 1A PAVBCA respectfully as a first-, second-, and third-team All-D9 1A were chosen in a vote by the District 9 coaches.
District 9 1A runner-up Clarion-Limestone had the most All-D9 1A selections with five, including first-team choice Jenna Dunn, second-team selection Abby Knapp-Greeley, and third-team winners Maddy Greeley, Hannah Beggs, and Kaylee Smith.
In all, nine different District 9 Class 1A schools were represented on the teams.
