ECC/Port Allegany Football Canceled because of Injuries at ECC

ST. MARYS, Pa. – The Elk County Catholic home football game slated for Friday, Sept. 17, vs. Port Allegany has been canceled due to low numbers at ECC because of injuries. This is not a COVID-19 related cancelation.

“This is not a COVID cancelation,” ECC athletic director Aaron Straub said. “The football game was canceled due to low numbers on our team that resulted in injuries from our game last Friday night. We are looking forward to continuing our season Sept. 24th when we travel to Union/A-C Valley.”

The ECC/Port Allegany game is the second District 9 game to be canceled this week joining the Keystone/Cameron County game, which was canceled because of COVID-19 concerns at Keystone.
