WARREN, Pa. – In an impressive season for District 9 girls’ soccer, Clearfield’s Alayna Winters was named the 2023 YDL Sports Network/D9and10Sports District 9 girls’ soccer Player of the Year powerd by TapNPay+.
In addition, Karns City’s Phoebe Brandon was named Rookie of the Year and Karns City coach Tracy Dailey Coach of the Year.
Winters had a banner year for Clearfield, as the Lady Bison advanced to the PIAA quarterfinals for the second consecutive season, tallying 25 goals to go along with seven assists.
Brandon, meanwhile, had a monster year for Karns City in helping lead the Lady Gremlins to yet another District 9 title in Class 1A. Brandon tallied 20 goals to go along with seven assists for KC.
Dailey, meanwhile, has been the architect of Karns City’s recent run of dominance, helping to guide a young Lady Gremlins team to another district title.
In addition to the major award winners, YDL Sports Network first- and second-team All-District 10 teams were also named.
