Bradford Puts Together First Win Streak in Five Years; Brookville Gets First Victory; Clearfield, Central Clarion Roll

BRADFORD, Pa. – Talan Reese had three total touchdowns and the Owls’ run defense stymied the Terrors all night as Bradford defeated Otto-Eldred, 35-12.

The Owls, coming off a 34-12 win at Coudersport, won consecutive games for the first time since a 4-game winning streak in 2018.

Adam Ward had four receptions for 111 yards and a touchdown and added an interception to earn Allegheny Grille of Foxburg Player of the Game honors.

            

“We’ve been working really hard all week preparing for this game,” Ward said in his Cole Orthodontic Associates postgame interview. “With the wins, we just have to keep progressing from here.”

Reese was 14-23 passing for 180 yards and two touchdowns and had six carries for 53 yards and a score on the ground. Jordan Thompson ran for 66 yards and a score and added five catches for 32 yards, while AJ Gleason had 50 yards and a touchdown on the ground as well.

The Bradford defense limited Otto-Eldred to just 21 yards on 22 carries.

Shane Magee did find some success through the air where he was 20-35 for 206 yards with two touchdowns and an interception.

                          

Ray’Shene Thomas led the receivers with seven grabs for 65 yards. Manning Splain had three catches for 52 yards, including a 54-yard touchdown reception. David Schenfield had four catches for 57 yards and a score.

ST. MARYS 30, KANE 0

ST. MARYS, Pa. – A monster night on the ground from Matthew Davis helped St. Marys to a 30-0 win over visiting Kane.

Davis ran 18 times for 274 yards and five touchdowns while adding seven tackles – three for a loss – on defense.

Cameron Coudriet also threw a touchdown pass for the Dutch going 7 of 15 passing for 117 yards.

Mason Sheeley added nine tackles for St. Marys, including a pair of sacks,, while Landon Cook had 11 tackles and Tristan Dilley seven tackles and a sack.

BROOKVILLE 42, KEYSTONE 20

BROOKVILLE – Celebrating Senior Night early, Brookville also won its first game with a 42-20 win over Keystone.

The Raiders got four touchdown passes from backup Easton Belfiore, who replaced injured Charlie Krug. He connected with Sam Krug twice for long scores of 60-plus yards while hitting Jack Pete and Hayden Freeman for touchdowns. His 30-yarder to Freeman put the Raiders up 35-7 near the mid-point of the third quarter.

Belfiore also ran for a 3-yard touchdown in the first quarter to tie the game at 7-7, starting a Raiders 35-0 run had them leading 42-7 following backup quarterback Trent Colgan’s 50-yard TD pass to Pete with under five minutes left in the third quarter.

                        

The Panthers opened the game’s scoring with Rayce Weaver’s TD pass to Jacob Henry for the early 7-0 and scored twice in the fourth quarter on a TD pass from Dom Corcetti to Drew Keth and Eli Nellis’ 18-yard run.

CLEARFIELD 44, PHILIPSBURG-OSCEOLA 7, GAME ENDED 11:53 4TH QUARTER

HYDE, Pa. – Carter Chamberlain scored three touchdowns and Will Domico threw for two and ran for one, as Clearfield beat Phillipsburg-Osceola, 44-7 in a game that went just over three quarters because of lighting.

The contest was called seven seconds into the fourth quarter with the Bison well in control, and they were declared the winners.

Chamberlain ran 10 times for 84 yards with Domico going 8 of 11 passing for 146 yards while rushing four times for 19 yards.

Domico’s touchdown passes went to Carter Freeland and Brady Collins. Freeland caught three passes for 73 yards and Collins three for 37.

CENTRAL CLARION 72, UNION/A-C VALLEY 0

RIMERSBURG, Pa. – Brady Quinn scored three times, including once on defense, as Central Clarion rolled to a 72-0 win over Union/A-C Valley at Union’s Vidunas Stadium.

Quinn scored on an 11-yard run, a 22-yard interception return, and on a 14-yard pass from Jase Ferguson.

Ferguson tossed five more touchdown passes including two to Dawson Smail (52 yards, 14 yards) and one each to Kohen Kemmer (25 yards) and Mason Burford (36 yards).

         

The unbeaten Wildcats also scored on a 19-yard fumble return by Hayden Hindman, on an 11-yard Treyven Hooks run, and on a 43-yard Ethan Rex run.

Ferguson was 10 of 13 passing for 220 yards and also picked off a pass on defense, while Smail caught four passes for 106 yards and Burford three for 51. Quinn had one carry for 11 yards and wo catches for 39 yards.

Brody Dittman was 9 of 17 passing for 94 yards and two interceptions for Union/A-C Valley.

NORTHERN BEDFORD 30, DUBOIS 14

NEW ENTERPRISE, Pa. – Aaron Bowers caught a pair of touchdown passes from Eion Snider to lead Northern Bedford to a 30-14 win over visiting DUbois.

Snider hooked up on scoring tosses of 10 and 16 yards for the Black Panthers, while Aidan Pittman returned a kickoff 93 yards for a touchdown and Ashton Detterline ran in a score from a yard out. Northern Bedford also scored on a safety.

Landon Schrock (6 yards) and Danny Dixon (13 yards) scored on the ground for DuBois.

Snider was 8 of 16 passing for 118 yards with Bowers catching five passes for 76 yards,

Schrock, playing in place of the injured Trey Wingard, went 12 of 27 for 82 yards with three interceptions. He ran five times for 14 yards.,

Dixon had a game-high 57 yards on the ground on nine carries for the Beavers while Kaden Clark caught six passes for 56 yards.
