Bradford Girls Win League Title, OV’s Thompson Individual Champion; Meadville Boys Win Tam O’Shanter Powered by Hunter’s Station Golf Club

BOLIVAR, N.Y. – Bradford won the team title while Oswayo Valley’s Rylee Thompson was the individual champion at Tuesday’s North Penn Woods girls golf league championship at the Bolivar Golf Course.

Playing the front nine, Thompson shot a 42, while Bradford’s Payten Leet was second with a 44 and Bradford’s Cadence Stiles third with a 52.

Bradford had a team score of 158, while Oswayo Valley shot a 167, Smethport a 221, Cameron County a 233 and Coudersport 241, with the top three golfers from each team counted.

In addition, the North Penn Woods All-Star team was selected. Leet was named Most Outstanding Golfer, while Thompson, Stiles, Bradford’s Alexia Coirgnani, Oswayo Valley’s Shayden Mesler and Smethport’s Hope Peterson were also named All-Stars.

MEADVILLE BOYS WINS TAM O’SHANTER

            

HERMITAGE, Pa. – Led by Alex Burgess’ 75, Meadville took first place at the Tam O’Shanter Invitational on Tuesday.

Burgess was tied for second overall with Cathedral Prep’s Connor Laird, while Ellwood City’s Jordan Keller had the low round with a 72, while Wilmington’s Santino Toscano shot a 76, Clarion’s Kam Kerle a 77, Moon’s Zach Ross a 78, Jamestown’s Cole Ternent an 80, and Lakeview’s Adam Snyder and Grove City’s Isaac Allan 81.

Meadville finished with a team score of 328, followed by Ellwood City at 329, Moon at 335, Cathedral Prep and Clarion at 336 and Lakeview at 338.
