Big Sixth Inning Helps Cambridge Springs Knock Off Iroquois for D10 1A Softball Crown Powered by N. Washington Rodeo

HERMITAGE, Pa. – Cheyenne Mosconi’s RBI single gave Cambridge Springs the lead in what was a 5-run sixth inning en route to a 10-8 win over Iroquois for the D10 Class 1A softball title, the ninth in program history.

The rally came after Iroquois scored five times in the top half of the sixth to take an 8-5 lead, capped by a Grace Abele 2-run single.

The top of the lineup – Kylie Miller, Morgan Harris, and Haille Rodgers set the tone for Cambridge Springs, scoring six runs. Mosconi had a pair of hits, while Maddie Dragosavac was 1-for-3 with two RBIs.

Baelyn Randolph helped stake Iroquois to an early lead, as she homered and drove in two runs in the game. Sydney Proper was also 3-for-4 with a run, while Karina Reichard was 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI.

Kayla Crawford got the win, going 5 ⅔ innings for Cambridge Springs, allowing five runs, striking out six and walking one

                  

Phoenix Thomas suffered the loss, allowing 10 runs, striking out eight and walking six in her seven innings.

Cambridge Springs will face the WPIAL No. 3 team, either Chartiers-Houston or Frazier, in the first round of PIAAs on Monday, June 5.
