Big Group of D9/10 Wrestlers Advance to PIAA Quarterfinals Powered by Luton’s Plumbing, Heating, A/C

HERSHEY, Pa. – A total of 24 District 9 and District 10 wrestlers advanced to the quarterfinals at the PIAA wrestling championships – 22 of those coming in Class 2A.

Three weight classes in Class 2A – 139, 152 and 172 have three D9/10 grapplers in the quarterfinals.

Advancing at 139 were Reynolds’ Chase Bell, Sharpsville’s Alex Rueberger and Cranberry’s Dane Wenner.

Moving on to the quarterfinals at 152 are Sharpsville’s Caullin Summers, Clearfield’s Brady Collins and Grove City’s Cody Hamilton.

                              

Getting through to the quarterfinals at 172 are Port Allegany’s Aiden Bliss, Corry’s Mason Savitz and Grove City’s Hunter Hohman, a state runner-up last season.

Reynolds has three wrestlers moving on to the quarterfinals in Louie Gill at 121, Logan Stewart at 127 and Chase Bell at 139.

Quarterfinal action, along with the consolation second round, get underway at 8 a.m. Friday.

Moving on in Class 3A are HIckory’s Brady Slicker at 127 and DuBois’ Davey Aughenbaugh at 139.

Class 3A action gets started on Friday with the quarterfinals and second round consolations at 2:15 p.m.
