Base: Costello Homeres Twice, Constable Picks up 100th Win for Prep; Greenville, Sharpsville Win in Extras Powered by N. Washington Rodeo

Cathedral Prep coach Josh Constable picked up his 100th win on Monday with a victory over Warren.

WARREN, Pa. – Andrew Costello hit two home runs and two doubles as Cathedral Prep coach Josh Constable picked up his 100th career win in a 12-3 win over Warren.

The Ramblers jumped on the Dragons with six runs in the top of the first inning.

Costello was 4-for-5 with four RBIs, while KJ Williams drove in a pair of runs and Jason Fultz Jr. was 2-for-4, with two RBIs.

Justice Laird got the win, allowing three runs in four innings, striking out four and walking two.

Brady Berdine had a big game at the plate for Warren, going 2-for-3 with a home run, double and two RBIs.

   

                  

Carter Cochran took the loss, allowing seven runs on six hits in four innings, striking out six and walking three.

GREENVILLE 11, WILMINGTON 10, 9 innings

GREENVILLE, Pa. – Jackson Leskovac’s fifth RBI of the day was a walk-off single as Greenville beat Wilmington, 11-10.

Leskovac also homered for Greenville, which rallied from a 10-6 deficit to force extra innings.

Noah Philson was 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs for the Trojans.

                          

Soren Hedderick got the win in relief, going 4 ⅓ scoreless innings, allowing just two hits and striking out seven.

Ben Miller had two doubles and drove in three runs for Wilmington, while Chase Mitcheltree had two hits and an RBI.

SHARPSVILLE 15, MERCER 12, 8 innings

MERCER, Pa. – A wild pitch and an error helped three runs cross the plate for Sharpsville in the eighth inning of a 15-12 win over Mercer.

               

The Blue Devils hit three home runs in the game courtesy of Carter Dejulia, Josh Divens and Gabe Titus. Titus finished with four RBIs and four runs, while Dejulia drove in three, Divens three and David Moyer two. Luke Distler also had three hits and scored a pair of runs for the Blue Devils.

Caullin Summers got the win in relief, allowing one run on two hits in three innings, striking out three.

Jayden Amos’ solo home run in the seventh inning sent the game to extras for Mercer. Amos finished with three hits and five RBIs, while Aedan Ryhal and Drake McFeely had two RBIs each.

Ethan Christie was the losing pitcher, allowing three runs (one earned) in two innings.

HARBOR CREEK 11, MERCYHURST PREP 1, 5 innings

ERIE, Pa. – A 6-run third inning helped Harbor Creek to an 11-1, 5-inning win over Mercyhurst Prep.

Tyler Burick was 2-for-4 with three RBIs for the Huskies, while Jake Rzodkiewicz was 3-for-4 with two RBIs to pace the offense.

Heath Betza got the win, going four innings and allowing one run on three hits, striking out five and walking three.

Noah Reigel had two hits for the Lakers and Zack Kruszewski drove in a run.

Hunter Krahe was the losing pitcher, allowing eight runs (five earned) in 2 ⅔ innings.

            

CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS 6, EISENHOWER 4

RUSSELL, Pa. – Cambridge Springs scored four runs in the fifth inning in a 6-4 win over Eisenhower.

Matthew Ross drove in a pair of runs for the Blue Devils, while Josh Gorton had three hits and Owen Riley was 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Tristen Mazzadra got the win, tossing three scoreless innings of relief, allowing two hits and one walk.

Caleb and Camron Jakubczak had one RBI each for Eisenhower, while Cole Kellogg was 1-for-3 with a double and two runs.

Caleb Jakubczak took the loss, allowing six runs (five earned) in 4 ⅓ innings, allowing nine hits and striking out three.

OIL CITY 9, CONNEAUT 0

OIL CITY, Pa. – Wil McMahon drove in three runs and was dominant on the mound as Oil City blanked Conneaut, 9-0.

Casey Ryback was 3-for-3 with two RBIs and three runs, as the Oilers jumped out to a 5-0 lead after two innings.

McMahon struck out 14 in his complete game effort, striking out 14 while allowing just two hits and one walk.

Alex Wipula took the loss, allowing five runs in two innings.

MEADVILLE 16, CORRY 6, 5 innings

MEADVILLE, Pa. – Bradyn Miller homered and drove in three runs and Rocco Tartaglione had four RBIs in a 16-6, 5-inning victory over Corry.

Tartaglione had three hits (including two doubles) and Miller two, while Henry Desantis-Biggs was 4-for-4 with two RBIs and Jacoby Thompson 3-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs.

Ryan Reichel earned the win for Meadville, allowing three runs in 2 ⅓ innings.

Karson Chamberlin had a hit and scored three runs for Corry.

Kamdyn Moon took the loss, allowing ine runs in three innings on 11 hits, striking out three.

MCDOWELL 14, ERIE 2, 5 innings

ERIE, Pa. – Tino Musone belted two home runs and drove in four runs as McDowell raced past Erie, 14-2 in five innings.

McDowell scored six runs each in both the fourth and fifth innings. Nick Hamilton was 2-for-3 with three RBIs, while Carter Cross was 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs. Musone finished with four hits. Levi Laser also had a pair of RBIs.

Hamilton got the win, allowing two runs (one earned) in five innings on three hits, striking out four and walking four.

RJ Hawkins and Eli Nicklas each drove in a run for the Royals.

SAEGERTOWN 15, YOUNGSVILLE 3, 5 innings

YOUNGSVILLE, Pa. – Luke Young had three hits and four RBIs as Saegertown powered to a 15-3, 5-inning win over previously unbeaten Youngsville.

Saegertown scored at least three runs in four different innings, including five in the fourth.

DeMarcus Manning was 3-for-4 with three RBIs, while Blake Leslie was 2-for-4 with an RBI and three runs, Wyatt Burchill was 2-for-5 with a triple and two runs, William Shaffer 1-for-1 with a triple two RBIs and four runs, Blake Burchill 1-for2 with two RBIs and two runs and Everett Gardner 1-for-3 with two runs.

Matt DeSimone hit his second home run of the season for Youngsville and drove in a pair, while Nathan Lucks also had an RBI.

Lucks took the loss, allowing six runs in three innings on four hits, striking out two and walking one.

SLIPPERY ROCK 10, TITUSVILLE 2

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Slippery Rock scored in all but one inning, including four in the fourth of a 10-2 win over Titusville.

Dominick Zandi and Bryce Covert drove in two runs each for the Rockets, while Sal Mineo set the tone atop the lineup going 2-for-3 with three runs and an RBI.

Ryan Double pitched six strong innings to get the win, allowing two runs on five hits, striking out 10 and walking one.

Nate Stearns had a triple and two RBIs for Titusville

Mason Titus took the loss, allowing a pair of runs on five hits in three innings, striking out seven and walking three.

LAKEVIEW 12, WEST MIDDLESEX 1, 5 innings

WEST MIDDLESEX, Pa. – Lakeview scored six runs in the fourth inning on its way to a 12-1, 5-inning win over West Middlesex.

Owen Dye had two doubles and three RBIs to pace the Lakeview offense, while Maddox Bell was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and Lucas Fagley 2-for-2 with an RBI and two runs.

Evan Reiser got the win, allowing one run on three hits in 3 ⅓ innings, striking out six.

Kyle Gilson had three hits for the Big Reds. Logan Kent was the losing pitcher, allowing seven runs (five earned) in three innings.

FAIRVIEW 8, GIRARD 2

FAIRVIEW, Pa. – Aari Fox drove in a pair of runs and Fairview took advantage of six Girard errors in an 8-2 win.

Tyler Benford scored three runs for the Giers, while Eddie Dolansky drew a pair of walks and had an RBI .

Benford got the win allowing two unearned runs in 4 ⅔ innings on four hits, striking out seven and walking three.

Tyler Gilmore drove in both of Girard’s runs.

Zach Kelley took the loss, allowing eight runs (three earned) in four innings on six hits, striking out one and walking five.

GENERAL MCLANE 6, FORT LEBOEUF 4

EDINBORO, Pa. – Trailing 3-2, General McLane scored four runs in the fifth inning en route to a 6-4 win over Fort LeBoeuf.

Kellen Chelton, Alex Clark, Owen Eisert and Hayden Spencer drove in one run each for the Lancers, with Chelton finishing with a pair of hits.

Charlie Salvo got the win for GM, allowing one run in four innings on two hits, striking out five.

Jackson Lewis was 2-for-4 with an RBI for LeBoeuf, while Matt Herr hit a solo home run.

Brody Myers was the losing pitcher, allowing four runs in five innings and striking out three.

GROVE CITY 11, FRANKLIN 3

GROVE CITY, Pa. – Leading 4-3, Grove City scored seven runs in the sixth inning of an 11-3 win over Franklin.

Paul Gubba was 2-for-4 with three RBIs, including a home run for the Eagles, while Ethan Adams and Nolan Renick had two hits and two RBIs each, and Will Schell and Max Knouse two hits and one RBI each.

Ethan Orr got the win, allowing two runs on four hits in five innings, striking out seven.

Zach Boland hit a solo home run for Franklin.

Evan Turner took the loss, allowing four runs (three earned) in five innings on nine hits, striking out five.

SHARON 12, HICKORY 2, 5 innings

SHARON, Pa. – Chandler Maurice had three hits and drove in three runs to help Sharon to a 12-2 win over Hickory.

The Tigers scored four runs each in both the third and fourth innings, as Owen Schenker was also 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Mark Cattron got the win, allowing two runs on three hits in five innings, striking out five.

Luke Ferrence was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI for Hickory.

MAPLEWOOD 16, IROQUOIS 1, 4 innings

ERIE, Pa. – Landyn Reynolds was 1-for-3 with a double and five RBIs as Maplewood beat Iroquois, 16-1 in four innings.

The Tigers scored eight runs in the fourth inning, as Levi Willison and Jacob Woge drove in two runs each.

Kyle Jordan tossed four hitless innings to get the win, striking out seven and walking three.

Hunter Alderson took the loss, allowing eight runs (seven earned) in three innings.
