Q&A

Q: How did you get involved in playing sports?
A: My parents played multiple sports growing up like volleyball and softball, so they really helped my siblings and I get into sports. It helps having older siblings play sports and watching them made me want to play.

Q: What is the most enjoyable thing you have ever had happen to you on an athletic field?
A: This past season has been the most fun and awarding with my team. We
improved tremendously, but I know we can go even farther this year which is really exciting. We have team goals and personal ones as well which will come with the right mentality and desire.

Q: If you could go to any event (it doesn’t have to be a sporting event) in the world, what would it be and why? *
A: I want to go to the college women’s Final Four games with my
grandparents. They have attended every single game, tournament, summer league game, and camp I have gone to for basketball. My grandpa, Joe, loves to watch me play and heckle the refs. We have watched the Final Four every year together. The closest game to us would be when it is held in Columbus in 2027. My team even asks me when my grandparents will get here when we are warming up and when they do arrive my team calms down knowing that they are watching.

Q: What teacher has had the most impact on you in school? Why?
A: Mrs. Freeman, my art teacher, has the best advice and attitude towards her students. She cares deeply for all of her students’ well-being and mental health as well as being an excellent art teacher. Coach Justice is also a teacher but he is not one of my teachers but he still checks on us every day to see how we are doing.

Q: Do you have any superstitions in any of the sports you play?
A: I always wear my hair in a ponytail every single game and each kneepad has to go on the same knee each game. It isn’t a superstition of mine, but rather a habit.

Q: You have one day where you can do anything your heart desires. Cost is not a factor. What would it be?
A: I would travel with my siblings. One epic road trip. No parents just my siblings and myself because we are all older and I just love my siblings so much. It would be so much fun and give my parents a break from us.

Q: If you could go back in time, where would you go and why?
A: I would want to see dinosaurs. Preferably Jurassic and Cretaceous time
periods because I love all the dinosaur movies from watching them with my family. I have bonded over Jurassic Park with my brothers.

Q: Is there anything you wish we would have asked you? If so, what is the question/answer?
A: No, all the questions were fine.
