Top players lost: Emma Ekis (9.5 ppg), Hope Winger (5.2 ppg)

Key newcomers: Lily Homan (Fr., PG; Lilly has played AAU the last four years and is a true point guard who can get to the rim. Has older sisters, Lindsay and Ava Homan, helping her. Both sisters were 1,000-point scorers for the VC with Lindsay scoring 1,303 career points and Ava, 1,230 career points. She is one of five freshman players who have played together for five-plus years. The others include Kennedy Liederbach, Molly Mietus, Sadie Kalajmaka, and Morgan Wessell.

Keys to the season: We are very young and have just seven total players but players who have a lot of time together. We hope to gain a lot of experience this year playing against some really good teams. Our main focus this year will be boxing out and rebounding along with pressure defense, which is a tough task against bigger and stronger players. Our goal is to gain valuable experience this year to help us the next three years.

Things your team is doing during the COVID-19 pause of winter sports: COVID has been a challenge for everyone, as our gyms are shut down. Our kids have been given programs to work on their own, as we only had three practices before the shutdown. Everyone just wants to get back to playing.
