Editor’s note: We have been asked a couple of times why we don’t broadcast all the games. Enough times, we believe being transparent would help people understand the process. We would love to be able to do all the games, it just isn’t feasible. Just to let everyone know, the PIAA charges $300 per game in this round (it was $250 in the first round and $350 the next round if NFHS doesn’t come in and take the opportunity to do the game away from us and charge the public to watch the games) and that is before we make any money as a company. That’s just the rights fee to get in the door per game. In addition, we are still a small company with a staff of three. After paying the rights fee, we would need to pay additional people to broadcast games we can’t get to. These are all things we are willing to do if we can find ways to afford to do them and find staffing to do them. If you or someone you know are interested in our services and would like to sponsor games or help with broadcasts in the future, please reach out to us and let us know. We would be more than happy to have those discussions. Please don’t take this any other way than us being upfront and honest as to why we can’t do all the games. We aren’t complaining about the fees or the cost, just letting people who may not know those costs exist know that they exist.
