Summers Continues Torrid Pace as Sharpsville Moves to 3-0; Harbor Creek Picks up 400th Win in Program History

SHARPSVILLE, Pa. – Caullin Summers was at it again for Sharpsville on Thursday.

Summers was 14-of-22 passing for 383 yards and six touchdowns and also rushed for 106 yards and a score as the Blue Devils moved to 3-0 with a 62-20 win over Reynolds.

Through three games, Summers has now thrown for 1,013 yards and 16 touchdowns. As a team, the Blue Devils have scored 182 points through three games.

The Blue Devils built a 41-6 halftime lead as Summers threw first-half touchdowns of 23 yards to Jaiden White, 42 yards to Dalton Byerly and 10 yards to Killian Whalen and also ran for a 1-yard score.

Byerly led the receiving corps with 152 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while Aiden Puskar hauled in an 83-yard touchdown pass from Summers in the second half. Kalvin McCullough also had a 60-yard touchdown reception from Summers.

            

Xavier Zachrich (78 yards) and Gavin Alabran (39 yards) had rushing touchdowns for Reynolds, which lost for the first time this season after wins over Union City and Mercer.

HARBOR CREEK 42, CONNEAUT 0

HARBORCREEK, Pa. – Harbor Creek built a 27-0 halftime lead en route to its 400th win in program history and first of 2023 with a 42-0 blanking of Conneaut.

It was the Tysean Jones show in the first half for Harbor Creek. Jones scored on runs of 21, 65 and 40 yards to make it 21-0, and Heath Betza’s touchdown pass to CJ Pias late in the second quarter made it 27-0.

Lance Brown and Elliot Backstrom had second-half rushing touchdowns for the Huskies.

                          

Jones finished with 170 yards on the ground for the Huskies.
