WARREN, Pa. – The votes are in for the Week 7 TapNPay+ District 9 and District 10 Soccer Players of the Week.
The Week 7 honors go to St. Marys’ Lucy Hayes (D9 Girls), Eisenhower’s Julia Gesing (D10 Girls), Karns City’s Colson Ritzert (D9 Boys), and Fairview’s Jackson Chiocco (D10 Boys).
Hayes came up clutch to earn the honors, scoring two goals, including the game-winner in overtime of 3-2 win over Brookville on Oct. 9.
Gesing, meanwhile, had a monster game, netting four goals in a 7-1 win over Maplewood on Oct. 10.
For the boys, Ritzert also came up clutch, scoring both Karns City goals in a 2-1 win over Brookville on Oct. 12.
Chiocco, meanwhile, continued his monster season with four goals in a 6-2 win over General McLane on Oct. 9.
