Redbank Valley’ Wagner Named Week Seven Jim Kelly District 9 Football Player of the Week

WARREN, Pa. – A record-setting performance by Redbank Valley’s Braylon Wagner earned the sophomore quarterback the Week Seven Jim Kelly District 9 Football Player of the Week powered by the Allegheny Grille in Foxburg.

Wagner tied the Redbank Valley school record with seven touchdown passes in a 69-6 win over Kane.

He was 14 of 20 on the night for 249 yards and threw scoring passes of 5, 26, 19, 16, 20, 65, and 1 yard with the last TD coming less than four minutes into the second half.

This is the second time this season Wagner has earned Player of the Week also doing so in Week Three.

Fifteen players join Wagner on the District 9 Honor Roll.

ABOUT JIM KELLY

Jim Kelly is the Hall of Fame quarterback of the Buffalo Bills who grew up in East Brady, Pa. and went to Miami (Fla). Kelly was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2002 after passing for over 45,000 yards as a pro, including two seasons in the USFL, with 320 career touchdown passes. He led the Bills to four straight AFC Titles. Kelly’s name on the award is being used with his permission.
