NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. – When you reach the PIAA football championship game people start to take notice.
For Redbank Valley, one of those people is former Pittsburgh Steelers great and four-time Super Bowl champion Rocky Bleier.
The Bulldogs got a congratulatory good luck message from Bleier that was sent their way by Redbank Valley football alum Shay Hopper and was posted on the Redbank Valley football Facebook page Sunday morning.
“We have been blown away by the congratulatory texts and well wishes this weekend,” the Facebook page post said. “When you get one from Rocky Bleier, however, you realize you’re really in a special place. Big thanks goes to former player, Shay Hopper for sending this our way.”
