Plyler Leads Brookville Boys’ Soccer to Tournament Title; Karns City Girls Top Clearfield; Harbor Creek Girls Triumph

BROOKVILLE 5, WEST SHAMOKIN 3

BROOKVILLE, Pa. – Brookville’s Steven Plyler scored all five goals as Brookville beat West Shamokin, 5-3 for the Matt Kramer Memorial Tournament Title.

The Raiders led 3-2 at halftime.

            

Brad Fiscus had a pair of assists for the Raiders.

GENERAL MCLANE 7, HICKORY 0

HERMITAGE, Pa. – Cooper Robson had a hat trick as General McLane earned a 7-0 win over Hickory.

The Lancers scored four goals in the first half, as Gio Masone also had two goals and David Price and Quinn McFadden had one each.

Robson, Gus Brasington, Carter rSindlinger, Quenton Ferry, Dylan Boulder and Cam Ashbaugh all had assists.

                          

Riley Vogt had the shoutout in net.

PORT ALLEGANY 1, GALETON 0

GALETON, Pa. – Jarrod Funk’s goal with seven minutes remaining in regulation lifted Port Allegany to a 1-0 win over Galeton.

Justin Dunn had the assist on the game-winning goal.

Aidan Clark had six saves for Port Allegany in earning the clean sheet, while Braiden Ciminio had 10 saves for Galeton.

GROVE CITY 7, MERCER 0

GROVE CITY, Pa. – Langdon Ferguson scored a pair of goals as Grove City blanked Mercer, 7-0.

Grove City led 6-0 at halftime en route to the win.

Caleb Baumgartner, Ben Donnelly, Sam Myford, Gage Probst and Jimmy Irani had one goal each in the win.

KARNS CITY 4, CLEARFIELD 2

INDIANA, Pa. – Ava Kamenski’s goal off a corner kick early in the second half proved to be the game-winner as Karns City topped Clearfield, 4-2 in the Indiana Tournament.

Phoebe Branden had a hat trick for Karns City, including an insurance goal nine minutes after Kamenski’s go-ahead tally.

Aubrey Taylor had an assist for Karns City.

Emily McCracken and Myleigh Hudson scored for Clearfiefld.

         

Karns City’s Savanna Prescott and Clearfield’s Mia Helsel had nine saves each.

FAIRVIEW 9, ERIE 0

FAIRVIEW, Pa. – Hannah Lindenberger had a hat trick as Fairview blanked Erie, 9-0.

Anne Thayer had a pair of goals for the Tigers, while Jillian Agnello, Grace Gennuso, Lucia Risenberg and Ella Pizzo had one goal each.

Maddie Brosing and Sophie Fritz had two assists each.

HARBOR CREEK 5, NORTH EAST 1

HARBOR CREEK, Pa. – Rowan Wolfe had a hat trick to lead Harbor Creek to a 5-1 win over North East.

Val Garnica had two goals in the win for the Huskies, while Olivia Wilke, Mariska Habursky, Wolfe and Ellie Surovick all had assists.

BUTLER 4, CATHEDRAL PREP 1

BUTLER, Pa. – Butler earned a 4-1 win over Cathedral Prep on Saturday.

Rory Noonan scored for Prep, assisted by Olivia Dixon.
