MECHANICSBURG, Pa. – The PIAA has released the sites and times for the PIAA volleyball and soccer quarterfinal games Saturday.
Five District 9 and District 10 teams (two volleyball and three soccer) teams are playing.
In volleyball, defending PIAA champion Maplewood, the D10 champion, will take on WPIAL runner-up Bishop Canevin at 11 a.m. at Slippery Rock High School, while D9 champion Elk County Catholic will face WPIAL champion Serra Catholic at 2 p.m. at Punxsutawney High School. Both of those matches are in Class 1A
In girls’ soccer, District 9 champion Clearfield will take on WPIAL champion Avonworth in a Class 2A match set for Noon at Price Field at Westmont Elementary School in Johnstown.
In boys’ Class 3A soccer action, Cathedral Prep, the District 10 champion, will face WPIAL champion South Fayette at 1 p.m. at Slippert Rock High School, while in Class 2A soccer action, District 10 General McLane will face District 4 runner-up Central Columbia at 2 p.m. at PennWest Clarion’s Memorial Stadium.
