GROVE CITY, Pa. – A historic season for the Grove City College football team earned head coach Andrew DiDonato national recognition.
DiDonato was named the In The (D3FB) Huddle Division III Coach of the Year.
DiDonato guided Grove City to its first Presidents’ Athletic Conference in program history, along with the first undefeated regular season, first playoff win and highest final ranking (No. 10).
Grove City defeated Susquehanna in the first round of the playoffs, 21-20 on Nov. 18.
Seven days later, eventual national champion Cortland edged the visiting Wolverines, 25-24, in the second round.
The Wolverines set a single-season program record with 11 victories.
