Coudersport’s Ayers Named Week Four D9 Jim Kelly POW Powered by the Allegheny Grille

WARREN, Pa. – Gavyn Ayers helped will Coudersport to a key 26-14 D9 Football League Region 3 win over Cameron County, and that is why he is the Week Five Jim Kelly District 9 Football Player of the Week powered by the Allegheny Grille in Foxburg.

With the game tied at 14 in the fourth quarter, Ayers scored twice to lead the Falcons to victory.

His 1-yard touchdown run gave Coudersport the lead for good, and, then, he returned an interception 54 yards for a score to seal the victory.

It was all part of a four-touchdown second half for the Falcon leader after the game was played to a scoreless tie in the first half.

On the night, Ayers ran 11 times for 122 yards and three touchdowns while going 8 of 20 passing for 124 yards with an interception.

ABOUT JIM KELLY

Jim Kelly is the Hall of Fame quarterback of the Buffalo Bills who grew up in East Brady, Pa. and went to Miami (Fla). Kelly was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2002 after passing for over 45,000 yards as a pro, including two seasons in the USFL, with 320 career touchdown passes. He led the Bills to four straight AFC Titles. Kelly’s name on the award is being used with his permission.
