WARREN, Pa. – The votes are in for the Week 7 TapNPay+ District 9 and District 10 Soccer Players of the Week.
The Week 9 honors go to Brockway’s Reagan Gelnette (District 9 girls), Mercer’s Maddy Bailey (District 10 girls), Bradford’s Mitch Strauss (District 9 boys) and Wilmington’s Ryder Tervo (District 10 boys).
Gelnette scored what proved to be game-winning goal in Brockway’s 3-2 Class 1A semifinal win over Brookville on Oct. 25.
Bailey, meanwhile, also came up big, scoring two goals, including the game-winner in double overtime of a 2-1 Class 1A semifinal win over Mercyhurst Prep.
For the boys, Stauss scored two goals and had one assist in 5-0 Class 3A semifinal win over Clearfield on Oct. 25.
Tervo, meanwhile, scored the game-winning goal in the second half of Wilmington’s 1-0 Class 1A semifinal win over Mercer on Oct. 25.
