CLEARFIELD 4, BELLEFONTE 3

BELLEFONTE, Pa. – Behind Ruby Singleton and Emma Hipps, visiting Clearfield beat Bellefonte, 4-3.

Singleton was 2-for-4 with a double, a home run, two runs scored, and an RBI, while Hipps went 2-for-3 with a double, a triple, a run scored, and two RBIs.

                  

Hipps was also the winning pitcher going seven innings allowing three earned runs on five hits and two walks while striking out 10.

Taylor Brown hit a home run for Bellefonte and was 2-for-2 with a walk, two runs scored, and an RBI, while Josselyn Nau went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs.

Nau took the loss going seven innings allowing four earned runs on eight hits while striking out one.

KEYSTONE 11, MONITEAU 1, 6 INNINGS

KNOX, Pa. – Natalie Bowser and Leah Exley combined to go 5-for-8 with four doubles, three runs scored, and six RBIs, as Keystone rolled past visiting Moniteau, 11-1, in six innings in a rematch of last year’s District 9 Class 2A title game won by Moniteau.

                          

Bowser was 3-for-4 with two doubles, three RBIs, and two runs scored, while Exley went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two runs scored, and three RBIs.

Gabby Wolbert was also 2-for-4 with a double, two runs scored, and an RBI for the Lady Panthers with Rylie Colligan going 2-for-4 with a double.

Brynne Barger went 2-for-3 for Moniteau.

Exley got the win going five innings allowing four hits and three walks while striking out six. Bowser pitched an inning allowing an unearned run on two hits while striking out one.

Emma Covert took the loss going 5 ⅔ innings allowing 11 runs, nine earned, on 12 hits, and three walks while striking out seven.

               

JOHNSONBURG 14, KANE 7

KANE, Pa. – Natalie Dunworth and Payton Delhunty each had three hits, and Anna Duffield and Jenna Kasmierski each had three RBIs to lead visiting Johnsonburg to a 14-7 win over Kane.

Dunworth was 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles, a walk, four runs scored, and two RBIs, while Delhunty went 3-for-4 with a walk, three runs scored, and an RBI.

Duffield was 2-for-2 with a double, three walks, and a run scored, and Kasmierski was 2-for-5 with a triple, a walk, and a run scored.

Julia Jones also had a pair of doubles for the Ramettes going 3-for-4 with two walks, a run scored, and an RBI.

Madi Stahli hit a home run for Kane while going 2-for-4 with a run scored and three RBIs, while Maya Smith was 3-for-3 with a double, a walk, a run scored, and two RBIs.

Julie Peterson got the win going six innings allowing five unearned runs on eight hits and a walk while striking out eight. Jones pitched one inning allowing two earned runs on a hit and a walk while striking out one.

Leah Tigani took the loss going three innings allowing seven earned runs on seven hits and eight walks while striking out two. Stahli pitched four innings allowing seven runs, one earned, on eight hits and a walk while striking out two.

OTTO-ELDRED 10, OSWAYO VALLEY 0, 5 INNINGS

               

SHINGLEHOUSE, Pa. – Bir Heller tossed a five-inning no-hitter to lead visiting Otto-Eldred to a 10-0 win over Oswayo Valley.

Heller walked one and struck out 11.

Katie Sheeler was 3-for-4 with a double, a triple, and two RBIs for the Lady Terrors, while Susie Rounsvilel was 2-for-3 with two RBIs. Jesse Hall also went 2-for-2 with an RBI, and Hannah Gordon was 1-for-2 with a double and an RBI.

Makenzie Mesler took the loss allowing 10 runs on 11 hits and five walks while striking out eight.




ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 16, BRADFORD 1, 4 INNINGS

BRADFORD, Pa. – Lucy Klawuhn drove in four runs to help visiting Elk County Catholic to a 16-1, four-inning win over Bradford.

Klawuhn was 3-for-3 with a double, a walk, and three runs scored.

Emily Mourer added a pair of RBIs for the Lady Crusaders going 1-for-1 with a double, three walks, and two RBIs, and Lydia Anderson was 1-for-3 with a walk, an RBI, and two runs scored.

Madison Dougherty was 1-for-2 with an RBI for Bradford, while Kalie Dixon was 1-for-2 with a double and a run scored.

Mourer got the win going four innings allowing one earned run on three hits and two walks while striking out six.

Dixon took the loss pitching four innings allowing 16 runs, 15 earned, on six hits and 14 walks while striking out four.
