Q&A

Q: How did you get involved in playing sports?
A: I was born into baseball with my dad. When I was born in 2006 he was playing in the minor leagues with the Texas Rangers. Now my stepdad, Corey Ragsdale, is the first base coach for the Texas Rangers, so baseball is really just sticking with me. Baseball was engraved in me my whole life, and it is the path I want to keep following.

Q: What is the most enjoyable thing you have ever had happen to you on an athletic field?
A: Winning a state championship with my best friends (Class 1A baseball title in 2022). It might have been the most enjoyable thing to ever happen in my life.

Q: If you could go to any event (it doesn’t have to be a sporting event) in the world, what would it be and why? *
A: This might sound wild, but probably a premiere for a new Spider-Man movie. I’m a huge Spider-Man fan. I’ve loved Spider-Man ever since I was little.

Q: What teacher has had the most impact on you in school? Why?
A: I would say my English teacher, Mr. Murphy. He is just the guy to go to about anything. Whether it’s about sports, or even life in general, he will be the one to ask.

Q: Do you have any superstitions in any of the sports you play?
A: I have superstitions in every sport. I put my right shoe on before my left. Before I hit, I put all my batting gear in the same spot. I also put my gear on in the same order before every at bat. I’m a very superstitious person.

Q: You have one day where you can do anything your heart desires. Cost is not a factor. What would it be?
A: I would 100% want the chance to be Spider-Man for a day. There is no other answer for me.

Q: If you could go back in time, where would you go and why?
A: I would go back before Covid and let everyone know what was coming to our world. Maybe even try to put a stop to it. It’s just something to think about.

Q: Is there anything you wish we would have asked you? If so, what is the question/answer?
A: Nope.
