Q&A

Q: How did you get involved in playing sports?
A: I grew up with a ball in my hands. It didn’t matter what sport it was, I
wanted to play it. Both of my parents were athletes and love sports so I guess it just came natural. They let me try them all – from soccer, baseball, and hockey to wrestling, football, and basketball.

Q: What is the most enjoyable thing you have ever had happen to you on an athletic field?
A: When I was in eighth grade our team made it to the middle school state
championship tournament in State College. In the semifinal game I went 19-of-20 from the foul line and hit the game-tying 3-pointer to send us to overtime and then hit a buzzer-beater 3-pointer to win the game. It was very exciting getting mobbed by my teammates and coaches after that win!

Q: If you could go to any event (it doesn’t have to be a sporting event) in the world, what would it be and why? *
A: I’d love to go to the NCAA Final Four. Those college championship games are so intense and exciting and it would be thrilling to be there.

Q: What teacher has had the most impact on you in school? Why?
A: I’d have to say my mom! She’s only been my tutorial/homeroom teacher, but I really like having her at school. She always keeps snacks there for me and my friends and is there when anyone needs something or needs to talk. She is the most supportive person in my life. Plus, she’s a really great teacher and cares a lot about her students and our school and I really admire that.

Q: Do you have any superstitions in any of the sports you play?
A: I wouldn’t call it a superstition, but I throw up before every game. I wrestled for years growing up and would throw up before every match, too. It’s almost like I don’t feel like I’m ready to battle until I get those nerves out and once I do, I’m locked in!

Q: You have one day where you can do anything your heart desires. Cost is not a factor. What would it be?
A: I’d love to play basketball with Damian Lillard and then throw the football with Kenny Pickett and hang out with the Watt brothers – JJ, TJ, and Derek.

Q: If you could go back in time, where would you go and why?
A: I’d love to go back to my favorite day which was when my parents surprised my sister and I with Steelers tickets on Christmas morning 2016. Antonio Brown reached over the goal line for the winning score which helped the Steelers beat the Ravens and get into the playoffs. It is by far my favorite Christmas and family memory. I’d love to go back and relive that day.

Q: Is there anything you wish we would have asked you? If so, what is the question/answer?
A: Nope!
