Q&A With Hunter Geer

D9and10Sports: How did you first get involved in sports and did you like it?
A: I’ve been involved in sports since the beginning, and I got hooked right away and never looked back.

D9and10Sports: Who has been your biggest influence in life and why?
A: My family, for sure. They’ve always pushed me to be the best I can be. As far as basketball, I’ve always looked up to my brother because growing up he was always 10 years older than me. I watched him play in high school and he ended up going off to college to play basketball at Penn State-Behrend, and I kind of always wanted to go play basketball there, too.

D9and10Sports: What is your favorite high school sports memory?
A: Going to the State Finals this past basketball season without a doubt is something I will never forget.

D9and10Sports: What is your favorite social media platform and why?
A: Snapchat because that’s where I talk to all my friends.

D9and10Sports: What would someone who is meeting you for the first time be surprised to find out about you?
A: I shoot Competitive Archery at a high level.

D9and10Sports: If there was one period in history you could go back to, what would it be and why?
A: The Mountain Man Era. I love all movies on that era, and to be honest I’d rather be outdoors in the wilderness than anywhere else. As much as I love sports, I love hunting and being in the woods more.

D9and10Sports: What will you tell your kids someday about living through the COVID-19 pandemic?
A: It was crazy people freaking out and everything that happened was just crazy.

D9and10Sports: What is your ideal place to live? Country, City, Suburb and why?
A: Country. I wanna be able to raise a family where I don’t have to worry about too many neighbors and they can go run around and be like me as a kid, ride their bikes, play wiffleball, run around and just be a kid without having to worry about having a neighbor in sight.

D9and10Sports: Is there anything you wish we would have asked you? If so, what is the answer?
A: What i want to do for a living? I want to figure out a way to make a living hunting one way or another. Ideally, one day I’ll have my own hunting show and travel the world hunting like I’ve wanted to since I was 4 or 5 years old.
