Touring Warren County — 76th Annual Warren County 4th of July Celebration powered by WCVB

WARREN, Pa. – A year after making a slight detour, the 76th annual Warren County 4th of July Celebration will be back in familiar territory when it takes place July 4 – 6.

The 75th annual parade route went east on Pennsylvania Avenue last year due to the roundabout construction at Pennsylvania Avenue and Market Street. This year, the roundabout will be in the middle of the parade, which kicks off the 76th celebration at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 4.

“It’s kind of a special day,” Warren Fourth of July Committee Chairman Bill Thompson said during the 2023 parade. “I mean, how many towns can you say that have been doing a parade for that many years and going strong? You know, that’s the biggest thing.”

Your Daily Local will be live-streaming the 76th Annual 4th of July Parade.

“The other thing I want to mention, too, is, and I’m very proud of this, that we’re like the third or fourth-largest Fourth of July parade in Pennsylvania. With Cannonsburg being number one,” Thompson said. “I think that’s why, a lot of people come back to Warren over the Fourth of July weekend.”

For the past several years, the county’s celebration has been a multi-day event with food trucks, vendors, contests, and live music available at Betts Park, and this year will be no different.

“I feel it’s more of a building a production, putting together a really good show,” Warren 4th of July Celebration Chairman Bill Thompson said during an appearance on Your Daily Local’s Coffee & a Conversation.

On Thursday, July 4 the Food Truck Festival will be open from 1 – 10 p.m. There will also be Chainsaw Demo & Face Painting from 1 – 9 p.m.; a Fireman’s Battle at 4 p.m., and Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides from 4 – 8 p.m.
The day will end with a live performance by local artist Gary Burk III from 7 – 10 p.m.

On Friday, the Food Truck Festival and Vendor Fair will be open from 1 – 10 p.m, with Chainsaw Demo and Face Painting until 9 p.m.. The first round of Warren’s Got Talent will be held from 1 – 5 p.m. and a Car Cruise-In from 4 – 7 p.m. Whiskey Joe will take the stage from 7 – 10 p.m.

The Food Truck Festival and Vendor Fair will be back on Saturday from 1 – 10 p.m. The Warren’s Got Talent Finals get underway at 2 p.m. The Cutest Baby Contest, for those kids 6 months and younger, will be held at 4 p.m. with registration beginning at 3:30 p.m., and Radio 5 will take the stage with a musical performance from 7 – 10 p.m.
The celebration will close with the annual fireworks display at 10 p.m.

While the celebration gets underway in earnest on Thursday, the Warren County 4th of July Committee already held its first event on Friday, June 28, with the crowning of the 2024 Queen.
