Soft: Rylee Coe Hits Walk-Off HR as Cranberry Beats Redbank Valley; Brookville, C. Clarion Split DH; Hallman, Toven Lead Punxsy Past DuBois powered by N. Washington Rodeo

SENECA, Pa. – Rylee Coe hit a two-out, two-run, walk-off home run, as Cranberry rallied past Redbank Valley, 8-7.

The Berries were down to their final out when Keelie Schneider singled and Coe walked it off.

That completed a comeback from a 7-3 deficit going to the bottom of the fourth for Cranberry, who scored twice in the fourth, once in the sixth, and twice in the seventh to get the win.

Both Coes hit home runs in the game with Avery Coe going deep in the fourth with a two-run dinger.

                  

Rylee Coe was 1-for-3 with a walk, two runs scored, and two RBIs with Avery Coe going 1-for-1 with a walk, two runs scored, and two RBIs.

Jadyn Shumaker drove in three for the Berries going 3-for-3 with a triple and two runs scored.

Also for Cranberry, Schneider was 2-for-4 with a run scored, and Denali Wenner was 2-for-3.

Reyna Watson got the win in relief going five innings allowing three runs, two earned, on six hits and two walks while striking out eight.

Izzy Bond was 2-for-3 with a double, a run scored, and two RBIs for Redbank Valley with Bella Orr also doubling while going 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored.

                          

Molly Evans was 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI for the Lady Bulldogs with Alara Altobelli going 2-for-3 with a run scored and Makenzie Foringer going 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Foringer took the loss going 6 ⅓ innings allowing eight earned runs on 10 his and three walks while striking out six. With the six strikeouts, she tied the school record for career strikeouts with 335 and will have a shot at breaking the mark, which is also currently held by Alyssa Burkett, when Redbank Valley plays Curwensville on Tuesday.

BROOKVILLE, CENTRAL CLARION SPLIT A PAIR OF CLOSE GAMES

STRATTANVILLE, Pa. – Brookville and Central Clarion split a pair of close games at Clarion-Limestone with the Wildcats taking Game One, 9-7, and the Lady Raiders, walking off the second game, 13-12.

In the opener, Brookville took a 6-5 lead with two runs in the top of the sixth before Central Clarion scored four in the bottom of the inning taking a 7-6 lead on an Alyssa Wiant two-run double before Samantha Simpson followed with an RBI triple, and Jenna Dunn had a run-producing single.

               

Abby Knapp-Greeley hit a home run in the win for the Wildcats while going 1-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored.

Simpson was 3-for-4 with a triple, two runs scored, and three RBIs, Kaylee Smith went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored, Wiant was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored, Dunn was 2-for-4 with a double and an RI, and Jesalyn Girt was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Emileigh Mahle also scored twice while going 1-for-3.

Dunn got the win going seven innings allowing seven runs, five earned, on 11 hits while striking out five.

Kerstyn Davie hit a home run for Brookville while going 3-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBIs.

Lilly Plyer and Cadence Suhan each added doubles in the loss for Brookville with Plyer going 2-for-4 with two runs scored and Suhan going 1-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI.

Alyssa Tollini was 2-for-4 with two RBIs, and Julie Greeley was 2-for-4 with a run scored.

Tollini took the loss going six innings allowing nine runs, five earned, on 14 hits while striking out seven.

In Game Two, the teams were tied at 12 after Dunn’s RBI groundout in the top of the seventh.

But in the bottom of the inning, Greely’s RBI single to right with the bases loaded scored Megan McKinney from third to win the game for Brookville.

               

Central Clarion led 9-0 after an inning and a half, but Brookville took a 10-9 lead after scoring four in the third and four in the fourth.

The Wildcats went back up, 11-10, with two in the fifth before Brookville scored two in the bottom of the fifth to retake the lead, 12-11.

Jordan Daisley was 3-for-5 with a triple, a double, an RBI, and two runs scored for the Lady Raiders while Greeley was 3-for-5 with two RBIs.

Tollini also went 2-for-3 with two walks, two RBIs, and three runs scored in the win with McKinney going 1-for-5 with a double and two runs scored and Laela Kammerdeiner going 1-for-4 with a pair of RBIs.

Suhan got the win in relief going 5 ⅓ innings allowing three earned runs on seven hits, three walks, and a hit batter. She struck out five.

Knapp-Greeley and Simpson each had three hits for Central Clarion.

Knapp-Greeley was 3-for-5 with three runs scored while Simpson was 3-for-3 with a run scored and two RBIs.

Dunn also drove in two runs going 2-for-3 with two walks and run scored with Girt going 2-for-5 with an RBI.

Smith scored three times in the loss after walking three times, while Alicyn Burford was 1-for-4 with a double, a run scored, and an RBI.

Brinley Kiskadden added a 2-for-4 afternoon with a run scored and an RBI, and Wiant was 1-for-4 with a walk, a run scored, and an RBI.

Dunn took the loss in relief going 2 ⅓ innings allowing three runs, one earned, on three hits and three walks.

PUNXSUTAWNEY 6, DUBOIS 1

PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. – Behind a strong outing in the circle by Brinley Hallman, Punxsutawney won its seventh straight game with a 6-1 victory over visiting DuBois.

Hallman went seven innings allowing an earned run on five hits and two walks while striking out eight.

Ciara Toven had a big day at the plate for the Lady Chucks going 2-for-3 with a double, a home run, a walk, two runs scored, and three RBIs.

Olivia Toven joined her older sister on the hit parade going 1-for-1 with two walks and two RBIs.

Ava Baronick was 1-for-3 with an RBI for DuBois.

Baronick took the loss going six innings allowing six earned runs on five hits, a hit batter, and seven walks while striking out nine.

KARNS CITY 9, A-C VALLEY/UNION 2

SLIGO, Pa. – Lyrik Reed had three hits to lead visiting Karns City to a 9-2 win over A-C Valley/Union in Sligo.

Reed was 3-for-5 with an RBI and two runs scored.

Aubrey Taylor and Nicole Huff each added a pair of hits for the Lady Gremlins with Taylor going 2-for-3 with a walk and an RBI and Huff going 2-for-3 with a walk and two RBIs. Huff also stole three bases.

Addison Burrows got the win going seven innings allowing four hits and two earned runs. She walked four and struck out eight.

Maddy Dehart was 1-for-3 with a double and two RBIs for A-C Valley/Union.

Reagan Best took the loss going seven innings allowing eight runs, three earned, on 10 hits and eight walks while striking out two.

ST. MARYS 8, BRADFORD 0

BRADFORD, Pa. – Avery Eckels tossed a two-hit shutout as St. Marys went on the road and beat Bradford, 8-0.

Eckels struck out 10.

Giuliana Muccio had three doubles to lead the Lady Dutch offense going 3-for-4 with a run scored.

Gianna Surra was also 3-for-4 in the victory while Kelsie Fledderman went 1-for-4 with a double, a run scored, and two RBIs.

Kaylen Eozzo was also 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored.

Kalie Dixon and Alyssa Johnson had singles for Bradford.

Dixon took the loss going seven innings allowing eight runs, five earned, on 12 hits and two walks while striking out three.

DUBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 10, MONITEAU 0, 5 INNINGS

DUBOIS, Pa. – Rylee Kulbatsky and Kayley Risser each hit home runs and Kulbatsky tossed a one-hitter to lead DuBois Central Catholic past visiting Moniteau, 10-0, in five innings at the DCC High School field.

Kulbatksy walked one and struck out 12 while also going 1-for-3 at the plate with a run scored and two RBIs.

Risser was 2-for-3 with a run scored and two RBIs, while Lauren Davidson went 2-for-4 with a double, a run scored, and two RBIs.

Lydia Morgan also had a double for the Lady Cardinals while going 3-for-3 with a run scored and two RBIs, and Marina Hanes was 2-for-3 with a run scored.

Emily Staab had Moniteau’s lone hit.

Lexi McGhee took the loss going 4 ⅓ innings allowing 10 runs, eight earned, on 14 hits and a hit batter.

SMETHPORT 15, CAMERON COUNTY 4, 5 INNINGS

SMETHPORT, Pa. – Hope Peterson went 3-for-3 with a home run and six RBIs to lead Smethport over visiting Cameron County, 15-4, in five innings.

Janell Dinch was also 2-for-3 for the Lady Hubbers.

Tylar Colley got the win going five innings allowing four runs on four hits and eight walks while striking out eight.

Elyse Umble was 2-for-4 for Cameron County.

Caitlyn Paulumbo took the loss.

BROCKWAY 15, JOHNSONBURG 4, 5 INNINGS

JOHNSONBURG, Pa. – Meeca Smith drove in four runs to lead Brockway to a 15-4 road win over Johnsonburg.

Smith was 2-for-4 with a triple and two runs scored.

Sophia Schmader also scored three times for the Lady Rovers while going 1-for-4 with Lily Heilbrun going 3-for-4 with two runs scored.

Sierra Fremer added a 3-for-4 day for Brockway with two runs scored and two RBIs while Miley Wanson was 1-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored.

Bailee Cranberry got the win going five innings allowing four unearned runs on six hits and a walk while striking out seven.

Meghan Tettis was 2-for-3 with a run scored and two RBIs for Johnsonburg while Izzi Lawrie went 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Natalie Dunworth took the loss going five innings allowing 15 runs, just one earned, on 12 hits and a walk while striking out six.

Nine Johnsonburg errors hurt the Ramettes’ cause.

ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 18, KANE 4, 5 INNINGS

KANE, Pa. – Lucy Klawuhn hit a home run and a double to lead Elk County Catholic to an 18-4 road win over Kane in five innings.

Out of the leadoff spot, Klawuhn was a perfect 5-for-5 with three runs scored and four RBIs.

Hitting right behind her, Sydney Alexander went 2-for-4 with a triple, two runs scored, and two RBIs, while No. 3 hitter Bailey Thorwart was 4-for-4 with two RBIs and three runs scored.

Leah Tigani drove in a pair of runs for Kane going 1-for-2 with a run scored, while Elizabeth Yasurek was 1-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs

Alexa Uhl also went 4-for-5 with a run scored and two RBIs, and Mackenzie Bille was 2-for-4 with a run scored and three RBIs. Reagan Bauer chipped in going 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Lexi Mulcahy and Cadence Carlson-Murphy both went 1-for-2 with a run scored for the Lady Wolves.

Tigani took the loss going five innings allowing 18 runs, 15 earned, on 23 hits and four walks while striking out two.

Emily Mourer got the win going five innings allowing four unearned runs on two hits and a walk while striking out eight.

HOLLIDAYSBURG 6, CLEARFIELD 3

HOLLIDAYSBURG, Pa. – Maria Malone went 2-for-3 with a home run, a walk, a run scored, and five RBIs to lead Hollidaysburg to a 6-3 win over visiting Clearfield.

Malone was the winning pitcher going seven innings allowing three earned runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out nine.

Ruby Singleton was 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, a run scored, and two RBIs for Clearfield with Paige Houser going 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI.

Megan Wisor took the loss going six innings allowing six runs, five earned, on eight hits and five walks while striking out six.

WEST BRANCH 6, CURWENSVILLE 0

MORRISDALE, Pa. – Makena Moore tossed a one-hit shutout to lead West Branch to a 6-0 win over visiting Curwensville.

Moore struck out 16 and walked two.

Greysyn Gable drove in three runs for the Warriors while going 2-for-3.

Addison Warren had the lone hit for Curwensville

Addison Siple took the loss going four innings allowing one hit and two earned runs. She walked one, hit two, and struck out seven.
