Soft: Flick Strikes Out 21 in Forest Area Win; ACV/Union Edges Brookville in High-Scoring Affair; Late Scores Lift Bradford to Victory powered by N. Washington Rodeo

TIONESTA, Pa. – Izzy Flick recorded all 21 outs by strikeouts as Forest Area edged Keystone, 3-2, at West Forest.

Flick gave up two earned runs on five hits and a walk and needed 104 pitches, 77 of them strikes, for the complete-game victory.

Both of the runs against her came in the seventh inning, but she came up with a strikeout to end the game with the tying run at second.

Anna Stitt drove in a pair of runs for the Fires going 2-for-3 with two RBIs, while Alexis Oswald was also 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored.

                  

Bella Brandon pitched well in a losing effort going six innings allowing three earned runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out nine.

Ryleigh Dittman was 1-for-3 with two RBIs for the Lady Panthers.

A-C VALLEY/UNION 17, BROOKVILLE 16

BROOKVILLE, Pa. – A big day at the plate by Bella Ielase helped visiting A-C Valley/Union hold off Brookville, 17-16.

Ielase was 3-for-4 with a home run, a walk, two runs scored, and three RBIs.

                          

Alivya Hartzell also went deep for the Falcon Knights while adding a double. She was 2-for-5 with two RBIs and three runs scored.

Maddy Dehart and Ava Snyder each chipped in doubles as well with Dehart going 4-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBIs and Snyder going 3-for-5 with three runs scored.

Brianna Anthony was also 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored in the win.

Magen Walzak got the win going seven innings allowing 16 runs, just three earned, on eight hits and nine walks while striking out four.

Cadence Suhan was 2-for-5 with a double, a walk, three runs scored, and three RBIs for Brookville.

               

Jordan Daisley added a 2-for-4 day with a walk, two RBIs and three runs scored for the Lady Raiders while Aubre Eble went 1-for-3 with a double, two walks, and two RBIs.

Alyssa Tollini took the loss going seven innings allowing 17 runs, eight earned, on 17 hits and four walks while striking out 11.

BRADFORD 15, SMETHPORT 10

BRADFORD, Pa. – Breaking a 10-all tie with five runs in the bottom of the sixth, Bradford beat visiting Smethport, 15-10.

Kali Dixon hit a home run for the Lady Owls while going 2-for-3 with two walks, three runs scored, and three RBIs.

Sophie Cornelius also drove in three runs while going 3-for-5 with three runs scored.

Also for Bradford, Daisy Greene was 2-for-4 with a walk and two RBIs, Kendyl Cruz was 2-for-5 with three runs scored, Mallory Craig was 1-for-3 with a run scored and two RBIs, Adilynn Brown was 2-for-5 with an RBI and two runs scored, and Kasey Poe was 3-for-5.

Dixon got the win in relief of Greene going three innings allowing two unearned runs on a hit and three walks while striking out seven.

Elizabeth Hungiville homered twice for Smethport going 3-for-3 with a walk, three RBIs, and four runs scored.

               

Janelle Dinch also homered and doubled for the Lady Hubbers and was 2-for-4 with a run scored and five RBIs.

Tylar Colley took the loss going six innings allowing 15 runs, eight earned, on 16 hits and four walks while striking out 10.

NORTHERN POTTER 15, GALETON 0, 4 INNINGS

GALETON, Pa. – Jaylyn Williammee and Kayla Hyde combined to toss a four-inning no-hitter as visiting Northern Potter topped Galeton, 15-0, in four innings.

Williammee went three scoreless innings striking out eight while Hyde went a scoreless frame striking out two. Only a Northern Potter error kept the game from being perfect.

Williammee also drove in four runs and scored a run in the win, while Zie white was 2-for-2 with a double, a walk, two runs scored, and two RBIs.

Emma Haynes also went 2-for-4 with a run scored and two RBIs for the Lady Panthers, and Lily Steele was 2-for-3 with a walk, an RBI, and three runs scored.

MONITEAU 16, CENTRAL CLARION 6, 6 INNINGS

STRATTANVILLE, Pa. – Scoring all 16 of its runs between the third and sixth innings including 13 in its final three at-bats, Moniteau went on the road and beat Central Clarion, 16-6, in six innings at Clarion-Limestone.

Mariska Shunk had four RBIs for the Lady Warriors while going 3-for-5 with a double and three runs scored.

Ashley Huffman was also 3-for-4 with a walk, three runs scored, and three RBIs.

Addy Williams (1-for-3, 2 walks) and Lily Staab (2-for-5) each added three RBIs, and Emily Staab was 1-for-4 with a run scored and two RBIs.

Shunk got the win going going four innings allowing six unearned runs on three hits and two walks while striking out two.

Kaylee Smith had a double for C-L while going 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored.

Jenna Dunn took the loss going 4 ⅔ innings allowing 10 runs, seven earned, on 10 hits, a hit batter, and a walk. She struck out two.

KANE 16, PORT ALLEGANY 1, 3 INNINGS

KANE, Pa. – Maya Smith drove in five runs to lift Kane to a 16-1, three-inning win over visiting Port Allegany.

Smith was 2-for-3 with a triple and three runs scored.

Elizabeth Yasurek added a double and a triple while going 3-for-3 with two runs scored and three RBIs for the Lady Wolves while Leah Tigani was 2-for-3 with two runs scored.

Kylie Iak added three RBIs while going 1-for-1 with two runs scored for Kane, and Cadence Carlson-Maybury was 1-for-1 with a double, two runs scored, and two RBIs.

Smith got the win going three innings allowing one run on no hits, two walks, and two hit batters. She struck out two.

Alyssa Tanner took the loss going 1 ⅔ innings allowing 16 runs, 15 earned, on nine hits and nine walks while striking out three.

OSWAYO VALLEY 22, COUDERSPORT 3, 5 INNINGS

COUDERSPORT, Pa. – Taking advantage of 25 free passes – 19 walks and six hit batters – Oswayo Valley picked up a 22-3, five-inning road win over Coudersport.

The Green Wave did have nine hits led by three from Brooke Geroge who was 3-for-4 with a double, walk, two RBIs, and three runs scored.

Grace Rositzke added a 2-for-3 day with two runs scored and three RBIs, while Eva West was 2-for-5 with an RBI and two runs scored. Sophia Komenda also drove in two runs and scored a run,

Shayden Mesler got the win going five innings allowing three earned runs on 11 hits, a hit batter, and a walk. She struck out four.

Savannah Myers was 3-for-3 with a run scored for Coudersport.

Hannah Fleniken took the loss going 4 ⅔ innings allowing 22 runs, all earned, on seven hits, 18 walks, and five hit batters. She struck out five.

WEST BRANCH 8, CURWENSVILLE 0

CURWENSVILLE, Pa. – Makena Moore struck out 17 while tossing a no-hitter to lead West Branch to an 8-0 win over Curwensville.

Moore walked one.

Mackenzie Mactavish hit a home run while going 3-for-3 with a run scored and three RBIs in the win, while Laylka Thompson was 3-for-4 with a run scored and Mallory Graham was 2-for-4 with two runs scored.

Caitlyn Irwin took the loss going seven innings allowing eight runs, four earned, on 13 hits, a walk, and two hit batters. She struck out one.
