Soft/Base: Kregel Belts Three Home Runs in Meadville Win; McDowell Powers Past Prep Powered by N. Washington Rodeo

LINESVILLE, Pa. – Rylee Kregel had a monster game, belting three home runs and finishing with nine RBIs as Meadville beat Conneaut, 16-0 in five innings.

Nevaeh Baker had three hits and scored three runs for the Bulldogs, while Raelyn Rusek also homered and drove in a pair of runs and Teagan Reichel was 3-for-4 with an RBI.

Lila Kightlinger got the win, allowing four hits in five innings and striking out 10.

Lainie Harrington and Jaidyn Jordan had two hits each for CASH.

MCDOWELl 13, CATHEDRAL PREP 2, 5 innings

                  

ERIE, Pa. – Izzy Nageli had two hits and drove in three runs as McDowell beat rival Cathedral Prep, 13-2 in five innings.

The Trojans scored six runs in the third, three in the fourth and four in the fifth after the game was scoreless after two innings.

Alex Smith and Gracie Miller drove in two runs apiece for the Trojans. Gabby DeLuca got the win, allowing two runs (one earned)

Mackenzie Moore had a double and drove in two runs for Prep. Madison Simmerman took the loss, allowing six runs (two earned) in three innings on three hits, striking out five.

HARBOR CREEK 17, GIRARD 0, 3 innings

                          

GIRARD, Pa. – Brooke Przybylski and Addison Lucas drove in two runs each as Harbor Creek beat Girard, 17-0 in three innings.

Harbor Creek took advantage of 12 walks by Girard pitching, as well as five errors.

Talon King got the win, allowing one hit and striking out eight in three innings.

NORTHWESTERN 17, SENECA 1, 4 innings</strong.

WATTSBURG, Pa. – Zaya Rastetter drove in three runs as Northwestern beat Seneca, 17-1 in four innings.

               

Courtney Eddy, Zoey Johnson, Nevaeh Kelly, Jessica Gage and Avery Feldmann had two RBIs each, while Aaliyah Peckham had three hits, an RBI and scored three runs.

Johnson got the win, allowing one unearned run on three hits, striking out three without issuing a walk.

Alara Bem was 1-for-2 with an RBI for Seneca.

BASEBALL

MCDOWELL 10, ERIE 2

ERIE, Pa. – Connor Cross homered, had two hits, drove in four runs and scored three as McDowell beat Erie, 10-2.

Tino Musone was 2-for-4 with an RBI and three runs for the Troajans, while Mason Maciulewicz hit a 3-run triple.

Anthony Iacobucci (3 innings) and Evan Stranko (4 innings) combined to strike out nine, allow just six hits without issuing a walk.

RJ Hawkins was 1-for-3 with an RBI for Erie.
