On May 11, playing as the visiting team at Stern Field in DuBois, DCC scored four times in the top of the seventh inning to erase a 2-1 deficit and get a 5-2 win over Clarion in a game that basically secured the top seed in the D9 playoffs for the Cardinals.

Clarion got its revenge on Memorial Day, May 29, in the District 9 championship game at Showers Field in DuBois.

This time, the Bobcats were the visiting team, and they trailed 3-1 going to the top of the seventh before exploding for five runs to win the D9 title, 6-3. It was the first D9 championship for the Bobcats and came over the two-time defending champions and the PIAA defending champion.

Now, at 10:30 a.m. June 15, they meet in the rubber match for the PIAA Class 1A title at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park on the campus of Penn State University.

Until then, rewatch the first two contests below.

MAY 11 – DCC 5, CLARION 2

MAY 29 (D9 TITLE GAME) – CLARION 6, DCC 3
