Meadville Reaches PIAA 2A Volleyball Semifinals for Fourth Time in Five Seasons

LORETTO, Pa. – Winning it’s 19th straight match, Meadville moved into the PIAA Class 2A semifinals for the fourth time in five seasons with a 3-1 (21-25, 25-16, 25-17, 25-18) victory over District 3 third-place finisher Lower Dauphin at St. Francis.

Luc Soerensen led the Bulldogs (19-0), who won the 2019 PIAA title before being runners-up in 2021 and 2022 (no season in 2020 because of COVID), with 19 kills and seven digs.

Tymir Phillips and Parker Gosnell each chipped in 10 kills with Gosnell adding eight digs.

Jack Brown ran the offense with 37 set assists.

The Bulldogs will take on WPIAL champion Mars (22-0), a 3-0 winner over West Shamokin, in the semifinals at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, at Shenango High School.

                  

Meadville beats lower dauphin in 4, 21-25, 25-16, 25-17, 25-18.

Tymir Phillips added 10 and Parker Gosnell added 10 kills and 8 digs.
Jack Brown dished 37 assists.
