Base: Piccirilli, Sharon Walk Off Against Grove City; Feleppa, Meadville Edge McDowell Powered by N. Washington Rodeo

SHARON, Pa. – Tino Piccirilli’s second home run of the game was a 2-run walk-off blast to send Sharon to an 8-6 win over Grove City.

The game was tied 6-6 after the fourth inning.

Piccirilli had three hits and four RBIs, while Hayden Scarmack was 3-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI and Chandler Maurice was 2-for-3 with a run scored.

Mark Cattron got the win, allowing just one hit in five shutout innings, striking out six and walking two.

Joey Hathaway was 2-for-3 with two RBIs for Grove City, while Nolan Renick homered and drove in two runs and Kam Martin was 1-for-4 with an RBI.

                  

Martin took the loss, allowing two runs in 1 ⅔ innings.

MEADVILLE 1, MCDOWELL 0

ERIE, Pa. – AJ Feleppa fired a 3-hit shutout as Meadville edged McDowell, 1-0.

The lone run of the game came on Ryan Reichel’s RBI single in the fourth inning, brining in Brighton Anderson, who had reached on an error.

Carter Swanson had two of McDowell’s three hits. Anthony Iacobucci was the tough-luck losing pitcher, allowing one unearned run in 6 ⅔ innings. He allowed five hits, struck out seven and walked three.

                          

SLIPPERY ROCK 10, HICKORY 3

HERMITAGE, Pa. – Slippery Rock scored all 10 of its runs over the final three innings in a 10-3 win over Hickory.

Sal Mineo hit a 3-run home run for Slippery Rock, while Nolan Darr and Austin Kura were both 2-for-4 with two RBIs each. Ryan Double also had two hits and scored two runs.

Austin Runtas got the win in relief, tossing three shutout innings and allowing just one hit while striking out four.

Trenten Richards was 2-for-3 with two RBIs for Slippery Rock, while Luke Ferrence also had a hit and an RBI.

               

CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS 5, ROCKY GROVE 3

SUGARCREEK BOROUGH, Pa. – Brett Kania hit two doubles and drove in two runs to help Cambridge Springs to a 5-3 win over Rocky Grove.

Preston Gorton was 2-for-3 with two runs scored for the Blue Devils, while Owen Riley and Quinn Simmerman drove in one run each.

Riley got the complete game win, allowing three runs on five hits, striking out four and walking two.

Trenton Rice was 1-for-3 with two RBIs for Rocky Grove and Eli Wilson was 2-for-2 with an RBI.

Wilson took the complete game loss, allowing five runs on eight hits, striking out two and walking four.

CATHEDRAL PREP 15, ERIE 1, 5 innings

ERIE, Pa. – Jason Fultz Jr. clubbed a pair of home runs as Cathedral Prep beat Erie, 16-1 in five innings.

Fultz Jr. drove in three runs, while Mathius Sprickman got it done both on the mound and at the plate. Sprickman tossed four shutout innings, allowing one hit and striking out one while also driving in three runs.

               

Justice Laird and Matt Oblich also drove in two runs each for Prep.

TITUSVILLE 7, CONNEAUT 4

TITUSVILLE, Pa. – Mason Titus had three hits and Hunter Obert had a double and two RBIs to help Titusville to a 7-4 win over Conneaut.

Titus had an RBI and scored two runs, while Kameron Mong was 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run and Ian McDonald was 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run.

Brett Schmidt allowed four runs (three earned) in six innings to get the win, scattering eight hits, striking out six and walking two.

Chase Stewart was 2-for-4 with an RBI for Conneaut, while Ashton Headley was 2-for-3 with two runs scored.

HARBOR CREEK 11, NORTH EAST 1, 5 innings

NORTH EAST, Pa. – Aidan Vaughn was 2-for-3 with three RBIs to help power Harbor Creek to an 11-1, 5-inning win over North East.

Tobias Vaheywas 2-for-3 with two RBIs and three runs for the Huskies, while Gio Barbato was 1-for-4 with two RBIs, Jake Rzodkiewicz 2-for-3 with an RBI and Jason Dolak 2-for-3 with four runs scored.

Preston Lanagan got the win, allowing one run on four hits in five innings, striking out six.

FAIRVIEW 11, NORTHWESTERN 1, 5 innings

FAIRVIEW, Pa. – Fairview took advantage of 10 Northwestern errors in an 11-1, 5-inning win.

Luke Rzodkiewicz was 2-for-3 with two RBIs for Fairview, while Aari Fox was 2-for-3 with three runs, two doubles and an RBI.

Tyler Benford got the win, allowing one run on six hits in four innings, striking out nine.

Gabe Hutchison was 3-for-3 with an RBI for Northwestern.

SAEGERTOWN 9, EISENHOWER 2

RUSSELL, Pa. – Saegertown scored six runs in the third inning en route to a 9-2 win over Eisenhower.

William Shaffer and DeMarcus Manning each drove in a run for Saegertown, while Wyatt Burchill had two hits and scored two runs.

Burchill went three innings for Saegertown, allowing two runs on four hits, striking out three.

Camron Jakubczak had a hit and two RBIs for Eisenhower.

OIL CITY 8, FRANKLIN 3

OIL CITY, Pa. – Jacob Teeter hit a solo home run and also pitched five strong innings as Oil City beat Franklin in the Route 8 rivalry, 8-3.

Teeter allowed two unearned runs on four hits, striking out eight and walking one.

Teeter also doubled, while Charlie Motter was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI.

Ethan Nightingale was 2-for-3 with a solo home run for Franklin, while Drew Kockler was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.

Evan Turner took the loss, allowing seven runs (three earned) in 3 ⅔ innings.

SHARPSVILLE 11, REYNOLDS 2

TRANSFER, Pa. – Josh Divens drove in three runs as Sharpsville earned an 11-2 win over Reynolds.

Caullin Summers was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs, while Luke Distler was 2-for-5 with an RBI and Carter Dejulia 2-for-3 with two runs scored.

Jared Bissell tossed two shutout innings to get the win, allowing one hit and striking out one.

Ryan Broadwater drove in a run for Reynolds.
