Base: Grove City Edges Oil City in 10 Innings; Wilmington, GM Get 1-Run Wins Powered by N. Washington Rodeo

GROVE CITY, Pa. – Bode Stevenson scored on an error on a bunt by Max Knouse as Grove City outlasted Oil City, 5-4 in 10 innings.

The game was tied at 3-3, with Casey Rybak giving Oil City the lead on an RBI double and Kam Martin tying the game for Grove City on an RBI single in the bottom half of the inning.

Paul Gubba hit a 3-run home run for Grove City in the first inning. The Oilers tied the game in the seventh inning on a Rybak RBI double.

Layne Rider got the win, going four innings and allowing two runs (one earned) in two hits, striking out two and walking five.

Jacob Teeter took the loss, allowing one unearned run in ⅓ of an inning.

                  

WILMINGTON 3, LAKEVIEW 2

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. – Wilmington built a 3-0 lead and held off Lakeview for a 3-2 win.

Chase Mitcheltree drove in a pair of runs for the Greyhounds, while Shane Book was 3-for-3.

Tyler Mikulin got the complete game win, allowing two runs on four hits, striking out six and walking one.

Garet Guthrie was 1-for-3 with two RBIs for Lakeview. Owen Dye took the loss, allowing three runs (two earned) in five innings, allowing four hits, striking out three and walking three.

                          

GENERAL MCLANE 4, MEADVILLE 3, 8 innings

MEADVILLE, Pa. – Charlie Swanson scored the game-winning run on a wild pitch in the eighth innings as General McLane edged Meadville, 4-3 in eight innings.

Swanson reached on a fielder’s choice in the eighth. Andrew Gula was 1-for-1 with an RBI for the Lancers.

Owen Eisert got the win, tossing 1 ⅓ scoreless innings of relief, striking out one.

Cam Arpin was 2-for-3 with an RBI for Meadville. Rocco Tartaglione took the loss, allowing two unearned runs on three in 5 ⅓ innings, striking out six and walking six.

               

SAEGERTOWN 13, IROQUOIS 2, 5 innings

ERIE, Pa. – Blake Burchill, Blake Leslie and William Shaffer drove in two runs each as Saegertown picked up its 16th win of the season, 13-2 in five innings over Iroquois.

Shaffer had two hits, while Levi Gardner was 2-for4 with an RBI and two runs. The Panthers scored four runs in the third inning and five more in the fourth.

Reilly Brown was 1-for-3 with an RBI for Iroquois, while Hunter Alderson took the loss, allowing 10 runs (three earned) in 3 ⅓ innings on four hits, striking out three and walking six.

NORTH EAST 9, GIRARD 8

NORTH EAST, Pa. – North East scored five runs in the sixth inning to rally for a 9-8 win over Girard.

Tommy Owens and Jerek Turlij both homered, with Turlij driving in two runs. Ian Seymour was 1-for-4 with two RBIs for the Grape Pickers, while Jacob Babo was 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Turlij tossed two shutout innings, allowing one hit and striking out four.

James Kibbe and Andrew Maher drove in two runs each for Girard. Carson Stevens took the loss, allowing four runs (one earned) on seven hits, striking out seven and walking one.

               

CATHEDRAL PREP 13, FORT LEBOEUF 2, 5 innings

ERIE, Pa. – Jason Fultz Jr. was 2-for-3 with four RBIs as Cathedral Prep beat Fort LeBoeuf, 13-2 in five innings.

Jacob Koshan was 2-for-3 with two RBIs for the Ramblers, who scored 11 runs in the fourth inning, while Dan Oblich was 1-for-1 with two runs scored and a double

Carson Phillips got the win, allowing two runs on two hits in four innings, striking out two and walking three.

Grady Matkovich was 3-for-3 with a run scored for the Bison and Caleb Sayers drove in two runs. Nikolay Bardwell took the loss, allowing five runs (four earned) on four hits in three innings, striking out two and walking four.

YOUNGSVILLE 9, CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS 4

YOUNGSVILLE, Pa. – David Manning was 2-for-2 with a pair of RBIs as Youngsville picked up its 14th win of the season, 9-4 over Cambridge Springs.

The Eagles scored five runs in the fourth inning, as Matt DeSimone was 1-for-4 with a double, RBI and two runs, James Johnson 1-for-2 with an RBI, two walks and a run and Brayden Baker 1-for-3 with an RBI.

Lucks went 3 ⅔ innings, allowing one run on five hits, striking out four, while Manning tossed two scoreless innings, allowing two hits.

Matthew Ross was 2-for-4 with two RBIs for the Blue Devils and Josh Gorton was 3-for-4 with two runs scored and a double.

Brett Kania took the loss, allowing three runs (one earned) in 3 ⅓ innings, allowing one hit, striking out two and walking three.

GREENVILLE 5, REYNOLDS 2

TRANSFER, Pa. – Jack Strausser was 3-for-4 with a pair of RBIs to help Greenville to a 5-2 win over Reynolds.

Strausser also got the win, going five innings and allowing one run on one hit, striking out six and walking two.

Braden Stubert was 2-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI for Greenville, while Nick Solderich was 3-for-4 with three runs.

Reese Wilkinson was 1-for-3 with an RBI for Reynolds.

CONNEAUT 11, SLIPPERY ROCK 1, 6 innings

LINESVILLE, Pa. – Ashton Headley was 1-for-3 with three RBIs as Conneaut beat Slippery Rock, 11-1 in six innings.

Greg Klink drove in a run and scored a pair, while Logan Nottingham, Chase Stewart and Caiden Loucks drove in one run each.

Alex Wilula went six innings to get the win, allowing one run on six hits, striking out seven and walking three.

HARBOR CREEK 14, SENECA 4, 6 innings

WATTSBURG, Pa. – Tobias Vahey, Preston Lanagan and Caden Folmar drove in two runs each as Harbor Creek beat Seneca, 14-4 in six innings.

Jake Rzodkiewciz was 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Huskies, while Tyler Burick was 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored.

Heath Betza got the win, allowing four unearned runs in 4 ⅔ innings on six hits, striking out six and walking three.

Michael Gilmore was 1-for-3 with two RBIs for Seneca.

HICKORY 12, FRANKLIN 2, 6 innings

FRANKLIN, Pa. – Six different Hickory players drove in one run each in a 12-2, 6-inning win over Franklin.

Luke Ferrence, Joey Cidila, Luke Lewis, Connor Stoyer, Max Moreleand and Landon Koerth drove in one run each.

Sean Cummings got the win, going 3 ⅔ innings and allowing two runs on five hits, striking out four and walking four.

Alex Wible was 1-for-3 with a pair of RBIs for Franklin.

SHARPSVILLE 16, JAMESTOWN 2, 5 innings

JAMESTOWN, Pa. – Luke Distler, Caullin Summers and Carter Dejulia drove in three runs each as Sharpsville beat Jamestown, 16-2 in five innings.

Duster had four hits and scored three runs, while Summers had four hits and scored four runs and Dejulia had four hits and scored four runs.

Josh Divens was also 3-for-5 with two RBIs. David Moyer got the win, going two innings and allowing two runs (one earned) on one hit, striking out four and walking four.

SHARON 12, TITUSVILLE 5

TITUSVILLE, Pa. – Will Beckert was 3-for-5 with a home run, five RBIs and three runs scored as Sharon beat Titusville, 12-5.

Tino Piccirilli was 2-for-4 with two RBIs for the Tigers, while Owen Schenker was 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored.

Mark Cattron got the win, going four innings and allowing two runs (one earned) on two hits, striking out two and walking two.

Brett Schmidt drove in a pair of runs for the Rockets, while Kameron Mong was 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Mark Titus took the loss, allowing six runs (five earned) in three innings no four hits, striking out three.

MCDOWELL 8, WARREN 0

WARREN, Pa. – Ethan Bechtold fired a 3-hit shutout as McDowell beat Warren, 8-0.

Bechtold struck out five and walked four.

Connor Cross and Jake Hower drove in two runs each, while Tino Musone was 2-for-5 with an RBI and three runs and Nick Hamilton was 1-for-2 with an RBI.

Eric Dippold took the loss, allowing five runs (two earned) in 1 ⅔ innings, allowing five hits and striking out one.
