Base: Dawson Smail Homers Twice as Clarion Rolls Past Redbank Valley; Moniteau Handles C-L; Kane, Brockway Get One-Run Wins powered by N. Washington Rodeo

FAIRMOUNT CITY, Pa. – Dawson Smail hit a pair of home runs while driving in five runs to lead Clarion to a 15-1, five-inning win at Redbank Valley.

Smail was 2-for-4 with a walk and two runs scored.

Matt Alston also went deep for the Bobcats while going 2-for-3 with a walk, a run scored, and four RBIs.

Tanner Miller added three RBIs and went 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored. Bryce Brinkley also went 2-for-5 with a double and two runs scored, and Daunte Girvan went 1-for-2 with a double, two walks, and two runs scored.

                  

Derek Smail got the win going four innings allowing an earned run on four hits and two walks while striking out three.

Braylon Wagner was 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI for Redbank Valley.

Ty Carrier took the loss going three innings allowing seven runs, three earned, on nine hits and a walk while striking out two.

MONITEAU 15, CLARION-LIMESTONE 4, 6 INNINGS

STRATTANVILLE, Pa. – Connor Ealy and Dawson Cook each drove in three runs to lead Moniteau to a 15-4, six-inning at Clarion-Limestone.

                          

Ealy was 2-for-4 with a walk and a run scored, while Cook was 2-for-5.

Keagan Book and Ian Ross each added three hits with Book going 3-for-5 with a triple and three runs scored and Ross going 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI, and three runs scored.

Landon Kelly drove in two runs going 1-for-4 with a run scored.

Dawson Wallace got the win going six innings allowing four runs, two earned, on four hits and four walks while striking out two.

Jack Craig was 1-for-3 with two RBIs for C-L.

               

Tommy Smith took the loss going two innings allowing six runs, two earned, on four hits, five walks, and a hit batter. He struck out two.

KANE 3, SMETHPORT 2

MT. JEWETT, Pa. – Behind a strong pitching performance from Phinn Chamberlain, Kane beat visiting Smethport, 3-2.

Chamberlain went seven innings allowing two runs, one earned, on six hits while striking out 15.

Isaya Miller led the Kane offense going 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI.

Preston Darr was also 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Wolves.

Logan Hulburt went 1-for-3 with an RBI for Smethport.

Brentton McDowell took the loss going six innings allowing three runs, one earned, on eight hits and a walk while striking out seven.

BROCKWAY 5, BRADFORD 4, 8 INNINGS

               

BROCKWAY, Pa. – Scoring the game-winning run on an error, Brockway walked off Bradford, 5-4, in eight innings.

Bradford had tied the game in the top of the seventh on an RBI single by Jackson Nannen.

Dylan Bash was 3-for-4 with a triple, a walk, two runs scored, and two RBIs for Brockway, while Matt Brubaker and Chad Young were both 2-for-3 with a walk.

Ben Yale got the win in relief of Young going 1 ⅔ innings allowing a hit, a walk, and a hit batter.

Nannen was 3-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs.

Tarren Reese took the loss going 2 ⅓ innings allowing an unearned run on three hits, three hits, and a hit batter. He struck out three.

Noah Swanson started and went 4 ⅔ innings allowing four unearned runs on six hits and four walks while striking out six.

NORTH CLARION 5, CRANBERRY 3

FRILLS CORNERS, Pa. – CJ Zacherl hit a home run while going 1-for-3 with a run scored and two RBIs to lead North Clarion to a 5-3 win over visiting Cranberry.

Kyle Rusiewicz also went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs scored for the Wolves while Drake Irwin was 2-for-3 with two runs scored.

Hudson Irwin got the win going five innings allowing three earned runs on six hits, two walks, and a hit batter while striking out eight.

Wade Peters got the save going two innings allowing a hit while striking out three.

Connor Morrow hit a home run for Cranberry and was 1-for-2 with a walk, a run scored, and two RBIs.

Hudson Galla took the loss going six innings allowing five earned runs on nine hits while striking out nine.

COUDERSPORT 15, OSWAYO VALLEY 4, 5 INNINGS

COUDERSPORT, Pa. – Scoring 13 runs in the first two innings, Coudersporr rolled past visiting Oswayo Valley, 15-4, in five innings.

Dylan Howard drove in three runs for the Falcons going 1-for-2 with two runs scored.

Gavyn Ayers was 1-for-3 with a double, a walk, two runs scored, and two RBIs.

Also for Coudersport, Owen Deutschlander was 1-for-3 with a double and three runs scored, Mitchell Taylor was 1-for-1 with a double, a walk, an RBI, and two runs scored, Quinn Kratzer was 1-for-2 with a run scored and two RBIs, and Mason Roessner was 2-for-2 with a walk, an RBI, and two runs scored.

Coudy used four pitches Taylor getting the win allowing a hit while striking out three in an inning of work.

Brayden Wiley was 2-for-3 with a run scored and two RBIs for Oswayo Valley while Isaiah Goode was 2-for-2 with two runs scored.

Drayden Norton took the loss allowing nine runs, five earned, on three hits and four walks while striking out one in an inning of work.

KEYSTONE 18, FOREST AREA 5, 5 INNINGS

MARIENVILLE, Pa. – Chaz Renninger drove in four runs to lift Keystone to an 18-5, five-inning win over Forest Area at East Forest.

Renninger was 2-for-3 with a double, a triple, two walks, and two runs scored.

Drew Keth had a three-hit day for the Panthers going 3-for-5 with two doubles, an RBI, and four runs scored, while Peyton Shay also drove in three runs going 1-for-4 with a triple and two runs scored.

Brady Dunlap, Noah Weckerly, and Kord Stewart each added a pair of RBIs with Dunlap going 2-for-4 with a double, a walk, and four runs scored, Wecklerly going 2-for-4 with a walk, and two runs scored, and Stewart going 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored.

Stewart got the win going three innings allowing an unearned run on three hits.

Colton Kuntz was 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs for Forest Area with Warren Dashner going 2-for-2 with a double, a walk, and a run scored.

Kuntz took the loss going one-plus inning allowing 10 earned runs on seven hits, five walks, and a hit batter. He struck out two.

KARNS CITY 10, WEST SHAMOKIN 0, 5 INNINGS

BUTLER, Pa. – Adam Manuel threw a one-hitter as Karns City beat visiting West Shamokin, 10-0, in five innings at Michelle Krill Field at Historic Pullman Park.

Manuel walked one and struck out eight.

Manual also added a double and a triple on offense going 2-for-3.

Hobie Bartoe also doubled twice for the Gremlins and was 3-for-3 with two RBIs and three runs scored.

Tyler Kelly, Troy Nagel, and Jacob Callihan added a pair of RBIs each in the win with Kelly going 1-for-4 with a run scored, Nagel going 1-for-2 with a triple and a walk, and Callihan going 1-for-3.

WEST BRANCH 10, CURWENSVILLE 0, 5 INNINGS

MORRISDALE, Pa. – Isaac Tiracroda doubled, tripled, drove in two runs, and scored three runs to lead West Branch to a 10-0, five-inning win over visiting Curwensville.

Brody Rothrock was 2-for-4 with a run scored and three RBIs for the Warriors while Lukas Colton was 3-for-3 with a double, a walk, a run scored, and two RBIs.

Luke Liptak got the win going five innings allowing two hits while hitting a batter and striking out eight.

Lawson Neiswender took the loss going 4 ⅓ innings allowing five earned runs on seven hits, two walks, and a hit batter. He struck out six.
