District 9 Releases 2024 Baseball Playoff Seedings

BROOKVILLE, Pa. – District 9 released the 2024 District 9 baseball playoff seedings on Thursday, May 16.

Brackets: Class 1A Class 2AClass 3AClass 4A Class 5A

Defending PIAA and District 9 Class 1A champion Clarion is the top seed in Class 1A, Karns City, last year’s D9 runner-up, is the top seed in 2A, defending District 9 champion Punxsutawney is the top seed in Class 3A, and St. Marys is the top seed in Class 4A.

DuBois will play in a subregion with Districts 6 and 8 in Class 5A.

The Class 1A and Class 2A championship games will once again be played on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27, at Showers Field in DuBois. The Class 3A title game will be played on Monday, May 20, at Showers Field in DuBois, and the Class 4A title game will be played on Thursday, May 23, at Showers Field in DuBois . The Class 5A title game is set for a District 9 site on Tuesday, May 28.

                  

The District 9 champions in Class 3A and Class 4A will have to play subregional games in order to qualify for the PIAA Tournament.

The D9 Class 3A champion will play the District 5 champion at Showers Field in DuBois on Tuesday, May 28, while the D9 Class 4A champion will play the District 6 champion at a D6 site on Wednesday, May 29.
