11 D9/D10 Players Selected to Inaugural PA Baseball Coaches Association All-State Teams

Nearly a dozen District 9 and District 10 players were selected as the Pennsylvania Baseball Coaches Association announced its inaugural All-State Teams on Monday.

In its inaugural endeavor, the PBCA selected first- and second teams for PA’s six classes. Six of the 11 D9/D10 players selected earned first-team honors.

In Class 1A, Saegertown’s Blake Burchill (the YDL Sports Network’s D10 Rookie of the Year) and Clarion’s Dawson Smail (the YDL Sports Network’s D9 Player of the Year) were first-team selections, while Clarion’s Derek Smail and DuBois Central Catholic’s Aiden Snowberger and Brayden Fox garnered second-team nods.

Clarion-Limestone’s Tommy Smith was a second-team selection in Class 2A.

In Class 3A, Punxsutawney’s Parker Stahlman (the YDL Sports Network’s D9 Pitcher and Rookie of the Year) was a first-team selection.

                  

Cathedral Prep had a pair of first-teamers in Class 4A with Jason Fultz (the YDL Sports Network’s Player and Pitcher of the Year) and Andrew Costello. Slippery Rock’s Sal Mineo was also a first-team selection.

DuBois’ Trey Wingard earned second-team honors in Class 5A.
