Warren’s Madigan Named AVCA Pa. Player of the Week

WARREN, Pa. – Warren’s Katie Madigan had a big week on the volleyball court last week and was rewarded for her effort by being named the American Volleyball Coaches Association Pennsylvania Player of the Week.

Madigan finished the week (Sept. 27 – Oct. 3) with 56 kills, 67 digs, six assists, four aces and a block.

She started the week with eight kills and 13 digs at Harbor Creek. Then followed it with 18 kills and 27 digs against DuBois and finished the week with 30 kills and 27 digs at Conneaut.

Nearly 2/3 through the season, Madigan now has 223 kills (a career-high), 313 digs, 28 aces, 5 blocks, and 44 assists.

The 313 digs (4.5/set, 12.5/match) are already four more than she had all of last season though she’s a touch under the pace she had in 2019 when she set a career-high with 569 digs (6.1/set, 14.6/match).
