Warren, McDowell Girls, C-L, DuBois Boys Earn Shutout Wins (Oct. 2 Soccer Recaps)

WARREN 8, MEADVILLE 0

WARREN, Pa. – Leyna had four goals and three assists and Leyna Irwin three goals and three assists as Warren blanked Meadville, 8-0.

Kaylee Cyphert had one goal, while Lani Wenzel had two assists.

Alexis Jones and Hailey Peterson combined on the shutout in net.

               

CATHEDRAL PREP 2, FAIRVIEW 1

ERIE, Pa. – Cathedral Prep rallied from a 1-0 deficit, scoring two goals in the second half to beat Fairview, 2-1.

Callie Cacchione and Brooklyn DiRaimo had Prep’s goals, while Reese Marie had two assists.

Katharine Scott had Fairview’s goal.

FORT LEBOEUF 2, GENERAL MCLANE 0

   

WATERFORD, Pa. – Jenna Popowski scored both goals as Fort LeBoeuf won Monday’s showdown with General McLane, 2-0.

REDBANK VALLEY 6, KEYSTONE 1

KNOX, Pa. – Allie Shoemaker and Lia Hageter both had hat tricks as Redbank Valley beat Keystone, 6-1.

Bella Orr, Darion Bartley and Raegan Wyant had one assist each.

CLARION 3, FOREST AREA 0

CLARION, Pa. – Lexi Coull had two goals as Clarion earned a 3-0 win over Forest Area.

Alex Leadbetter had a goal and an assist, while Coull also assisted on Leadbetter’s goal.

Merceds Cunningham earned the shutout, stopping a penalty kick in the process.

MERCYHURST PREP 8, MAPLEWOOD 1

ERIE, Pa. – Ireland Kaercher and Molly Taylor scored two goals each as Mercyhurst Prep beat Maplewood, 8-1.

                           

Naomi Warshaw, Halsey Pierce, Ella Schumacher and Aubrey Wells also scored for the Lakers.

MCDOWELL 9, ERIE 0

ERIE, Pa. – Abriella Whatamore had a pair of goals as McDowell beat Erie, 9-0.

Anna Rosswog, Abigail Wolf, Vivian Sanders, Brooklyn Smith, Phoebe Lewis and Carmel Frenn also scored for McDowell.

Wolff also had three assists in the win.

           

GIRARD 5, IROQUOIS 0

GIRARD, Pa. – Madison Soudan had four goals as Girard beat Iroquois, 5-0.

Abbi Erion had a pair of assists in the win for Girard.

NORTH EAST 6, EISENHOWER 2

RUSSELL, Pa. – Ayiana Thomson had three goals as North East beat Eisenhower, 6-2.

Thomson also had a pair of assists in the win, while Evelyn Bish had two goals.

CONNEAUT 6, FRANKLIN 1

FRANKLIN, Pa. – Six different Conneaut players scored in a 6-1 win over Franklin.

Larkin Mead, Lunden Mead, Hannah Brady, Alayna Ott, Jaidyn Jordan and Jovi Eaton all found the back of the net for CASH.

Bri Nader and Emma Shaffer had two assists each.

SENECA 5, CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS 0

CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS, Pa. – Ave Puschchak had a hat trick as Seneca blanked Cambridge Springs, 5-0.

Autumn Waid had two goals and two assists in the win as well for the Bobcats.

CLARION-LIMESTONE 12, FOREST AREA 0

STRATTANVILLE, Pa. – Thomas Uckert had three goals and one assist as Clarion-Limestone beat Forest Area, 12-0.

Brenden Bettwy had two goals and two assists, while Martin Ormeno had two goals and two assists, Wyatt Boyden two goals and one assist, Dany Schewitzer one goal and two assists, Layton Dunn one goal and one assist, Nathan Frederick one goal and Blaise Cunningham and Quinn O’Neil one assist each.

Isaac Lerch had his eighth shutout of the season in net.

DUBOIS 2, ELK COUNTY COUNTY CATHOLIC 0

ST. MARYS, Pa. – Thai Tran scored a goal in each half as DuBois earned a 2-0 win over Elk County Catholic.
