ERIE, Pa. – The Villa Maria tennis team improved to 14-0 with a 4-1 win over the Nichols School.
The Victors swept all three singles matches, as Anna Poranski earned a 6-2, 6-3 win over Ayanna Varma, Annie Prichard a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Ella Morris and Sophia Glance a 6-1, 6-4 win over Leena Jalees.
In doubles action, the Villa team of Margaret McGovern and Sofia Falvo was a 6-3, 6-1 winner over Elizabeth Berdysiak and Farrah Feldman. Nichols’ Erin Handforth and Saniya Kalra earned a 6-4, 6-1 win over Maddie Huber and Lilli Beuchart.

Brookville Boys Top Brockway
BROOKVILLE, Pa. – Brookville topped Brockway 177-216 in boys’ golf action at Pinecrest.
Killian Radel shot a 40 to lead Brookville, followed by Bryce Rafferty (41), Ian Pete (48), Owen Caylor (48), Logan Girt (49) and Patrick Diedrich (50).
Weston Pisarchick shot a 47 to lead Brockway, followed by Daniel Shugerts (54), Jacob Newcamp (55) and Troy Johnson, Parker Pisarchick and Chad Young who all shot 60.
