Villa, Kennedy Catholic Boys/Girls Learn Semifinal Sites/Times

 

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. — The three District 10 teams playing in the PIAA basketball state semifinals learned when and where they’ll be tipping off when the PIAA announced times and locations Thursday.

Kennedy Catholic’s boys’ and girls’ teams will be part of a semifinal doubleheader Saturday at Armstrong High School in Kittanning.

The KC girls will face District 6 champion Portage in their Class 1A semifinal at noon. The winner will meet either Northumberland Christian or Williamsburg for the state title at the GIANT Center in Hershey on March 24.

The Golden Eagles boys team will square off with WPIAL champion and undefeated Our Lady of the Sacred Heart in a Class 2A semifinal at 1:30 p.m. The winner will face the Constitution/Old Forge winner for the state title in Hershey on March 25.

                                      

In Class 4A girls’ action, Villa Maria will take on Lansdale Catholic, the No. 3 team out of District 12, at Bald Eagle High School in Bellefonte on Saturday at 1 p.m. The winner will get either Archbishop Wood or Jim Thorpe for the state title at the GIANT Center on March 24.
