SAEGERTOWN, Pa. – Add two more District 10 football games to the list of cancellations.
The Iroquois at Saegertown and Butler at Erie games scheduled for this Friday are both off because of COVID-19 concerns.
The Penncrest School District released a statement saying that all players, coaching staff and cheerleaders were considered close contact to a positive COVID-19 case stemming from their Friday, Aug. 27 game against Eisenhower, which is not under quarantine. The Panthers had canceled their scheduled JV contest with the Knights on Monday.
The Butler Athletic webstie and Football Boosters Facebook page both confirmed Friday’s cancellation with Erie. The Butler Eagle reported earlier in the week that the Golden Tornado were dealing with COVID-19 concerns.
The Butler varsity and junior varsity football games against Erie this weekend have been postponed due to some positive COVID-19 tests on the Butler team.
