ERIE, Pa. – The top seeds held serve at the District 10 Class 3A and 2A singles tennis tournament at the Westwood Racquet Club on Saturday.
Erie’s Matthew Prenovitz and McDowell’s Aaron Heinlein advanced to the finals in Class 3A, while Fairview’s Grayson Millette and Cathedral Prep’s Thomas Prichard are in the finals in Class 2A.
Prenovitz, Heinlein, and Prichard were dominant, winning in straight sets in the semis to get to the finals, while Milette rallied for a 4-6, 6-2, 6-2 semifinal win over Prep’s John Kretzing.
The finals are on Monday, with the winners moving on to the PIAA championships at the Hershey Racquet Club on May 28-29.
