Thomas Leads Maplewood Past Fort LeBoeuf; Meadville Beats Cochranton

GUYS MILLS, Pa. – Saide Thomas had 14 kills, eight digs, and three aces to lead Maplewood to a key 3-0 (25-15, 25-8, 25-22) win over visiting Fort LeBeouf.

Elizabeth Hunter added eight kills and three blocks in the win with McKenna Crawford chipping in 12 digs.

Bailey Varndell ran the offense for Maplewood with 22 set assists and added 10 digs, seven aces, and five kills.

MEADVILLE 3, COCHRANTON 1

MEADVILLE, Pa. – Emma Parks had a big night with 35 kills, 13 digs, and four blocks as Meadville knocked off Cochranton, 3-1 (26-24, 19-25, 25-22, 25-21).

            

Ellie Kellick added six kills for the Bulldogs, while Elliott Schleicher ran the offense with 39 set assists and 16 digs.

Devyn Sokol had 21 kills and six aces for Meadville with Brooklyn Needler added 18 kills. Taytum Jackson led the defense with 16 digs and Macie Williams chipped in 13 digs.

FAIRVIEW 3, NORTHWESTERN 2

FAIRVIEW, Pa. – Emma Willow and Sophia Kuzmin combined for 21 kills to lead Fairview to a come-from-behind 3-2 (21-25, 28-26, 21-25, 25-15, 15-11) win over visiting Northwestern.

Willow had 12 kills with Kuzmin adding nine kills.

                          

Paige Wingerter ran the offense for the Tigers with 24 set assists, and Julia Weindorf (22 digs) and Taylor Polach (10 digs) led the defensive effort.

OSWAYO VALLEY 3, GALETON 2

GALETON, Pa. – Avaree Kellert had 20 kills, seven aces, four blocks, two set assists to lead visiting Oswayo Valley to a 3-2 (25-15, 16-25, 21-25, 25-17, 15-12) win over Galeton.

Oliva Cook added 16 kills, two aces, and two blocks, while Trinity Lundy ran the offense with 36 set assists, 10 digs, and two aces.

Alli Macensky led Galeton with 17 kills, seven digs, five blocks, and one set assist.

Johanna Dickerson added 14 kills, 20 set assists, 16 digs, two aces, and two blocks for the Tigers.

GENERAL MCLANE 3, ERIE FIRST CHRISTIAN 0

EDINBORO, Pa. – Lilli Mook, Bailey Cannon, Elaine Corwin, and Emily Wismer each had seven kills to lead General McLane past visiting Erie First Christian, 3-0 (25-5, 25-10, 25-6).

Mook added 11 aces, five digs, and three set assists with Wismer adding six aces and six digs.

Abby Ball ran the offense for the Lancers with 27 set assists while adding five digs.

                        

TYRONE 3, CLARION 1

TYRONE, Pa. – Despite 16 kills, 15 digs, and two aces from Aryana Girvan, Clarion dropped a 3-1 (25-19, 10-25, 25-22, 25-17) at Tyrone.

Hadlee Campbell added seven kills and 13 digs for the Lady Cats with Taylor Alston chipping in six kills and Bri Pierce 10 digs.

Grace Ochs ran the Clarion offense with 29 set assists.
