Third Quarter Run Helps Ridgway Top DCC; Coudersport, Warren Notch Wins

RIDGWAY, Pa. – Using an 18-7 third-quarter advantage, Ridgway claimed a spot in the AML playoffs with a 54-48 win over visiting DuBois Central Catholic.

                  

The Lady Elkers (15-4 overall, 4-3 AML South_ led by two, 26-24, at halftime before Jenna Kasmierski hit three 3-pointers and scored 11 of her game-high 24 points in the third quarter.

Kristen Ellenberger added 10 points in the win while Gabby Amacher had seven points, seven assists, and five steals in helping Ridgway sweep the season series from DCC (10-8, 3-5).

Emma Elensky led the Lady Cardinals with 12 points while Kayley Risser had 10 tallies. Risser scored eight of her points in the fourth quarter helping DCC outscore Ridgway 17-10 in the frame.

Hope Jacob added nine points and Jessy Frank had eight in the loss.

                                      

COUDERSPORT 48, JOHNSONBURG 26

JOHNSONBURG, Pa. – Oliva Fink led a balanced attack, as visiting Coudersport beat Johnsonburg, 48-26.

Fink had 13 points and 12 rebounds, while Savannah Myers scored 11 points.

Also for the Lady Falcons (14-4), Laura Dunn had nine points, seven rebounds, and four steals, Hallie Rigas grabbed 12 rebounds to go with two points, and Macie Popchak added eight rebounds, five steals, and a point.

Johnsonburg (4-14) got a game-high 17 points from Maria Casilio.

                          

WARREN 60, DUBOIS 41

WARREN, Pa. – Halle Kuzminski scored 19 points as Warren powered past DuBois, 60-41 in D9/10 crossover action.

Warren (14-4) jumped out to a 16-5 lead after the first quarter, with Kuzminski scoring seven points, Meea Irwin four and Peyton Wotorson knocking down a 3-pointer.

Irwin finished with nine points for the Dragons, while Alana Stuart tallied seven.

Lynx Lander had 15 points for DuBois (3-15) and Audrey Kennis 12.

FORT LEBOEUF 46, GIRARD 23

GIRARD, Pa. – Ashley Froess and Haylee Will scored nine points each to help Fort LeBoeuf to a 46-23 non-region win over Girard.

The game was tied at 9 after the first quarter, with LeBoeuf (5-14) going on a 13-5 run in the second quarter to help take control

The Bison outscored the Jackets (3-16) 24-9 in the second half.

Maggie Lemock added eight points in the win.

                                   

Carmella Hanson had eight points to lead Girard.

KENNEDY CATHOLIC 83, JAMESTOWN 13

HERMITAGE, Pa. – Layke Fields led four Kennedy Catholic players in double figures with 17 points in an 83-13 win over Jamestown.

Fields also had 12 rebounds, while Bella Magestro had 16 points, six rebounds and seven assists.

Tori Harvey had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds for KC, while Madison Pfleger had 10 points.

Alayna Cadman had six points for Jamestown.

CATHEDDRAL PREP 61, LAUREL 43

NEW CASTLE, Pa. – Natalie Spano connected for 17 points as Cathedral Prep powered past Laurel, 61-43

Spano was one of three Ramblers in double figures, as Lena Walz finished with 16 points and Jayden McBride 15.
