Lakeview Boys Claim Region 1 Title; Warren, Grove City, Clarion Win Mega Matches Powered by Hunter’s Station Golf Club

TRANSFER, Pa. – Adam Snyder shot an 82 to earn medalist honors and lead Lakeview to the Region 1 boys’ golf crown on Tuesday.

Lakeview finished with a team score of 343, followed by Jamestown at 352, Greenville at 353 and Mercer at 425.

Jamestown’s Cole Ternent (84) and Colt Smith (85) followed Snyder, with Lakeview’s Jackson Gadsby carding an 85.

WARREN WINS REGION 6 MEGA MATCH

ERIE, Pa. – Braddock Damore shot a 72 and Brady Berdine a 74 to lead Warren to a Region 6 mega match win at the Erie Golf Club.

            

The Dragons finished with a team score of 316, followed by Cathedral Prep at 322, McDowell at 332, Hickory at 340, Meadville at 352, Corry at 403 and Erie at 428.

Also shooting in the 70s were Prep’s Connor Laird (75) and Cooper Wierzchowski (77).

McDowell’s Ethan Bock and Tyler Allen both shot 80s.

Also for Warren, Conner Zaffino and Johnny Palmieri both shot 85s.

ALLAN SHOOTS 65 TO LEAD GROVE CITY TO REGION 2 WIN

                          

HUBBARD, OHIO – Isaac Allan shot a 30 on the front nine on his way to a 65 to lead Grove City to a Region 2 mega match win.

Allan’s 30 on the front nine is believed to have tied a course record set by Slippery Rock’s Jacob Wolak in 2021.

Grove City had a team score of 307, followed by West Middlesex at 313, Wilmington at 316, Sharon at 340, Slippery Rock at 358 and Sharpsville at 395.

Wilmington’s Santiago Toscano shot a 72, and West Middlesex’s Bowen Briggs a 74.

CLARION WINS KSAC MEGA MATCH

BUTER, Pa. – Devon Lauer and Kameron Kerle each shot 41s to lead Clarion to a first-place KSAC mega match finish at Aubrey’s Dubb Dred Golf Course.

The Bobcats finished with a team score of 211, followed by Cranberry at 231, Keystone at 236, Clarion-Limestone at 237, North Clarion at 239, Moniteau at 242, A-C Valley/Union at 245 and Forest Area at 270.

Cranberry’s Cayden Baker also shot a 41, while Clarion’s Lucas Mitrosky and Keystone’s Sean Karg both shot 42 and A-C Valley/Union’s Joe Rapp, Clarion’s James Keenen, Karns City’s Joey O’Donnell and Keystone’s Talon Wilson each shot 43s.
