ST. MARYS, Pa. – Top-seed St. Marys and No. 2 seed Punxsutawney earned semifinal wins in the District 9 Class 2A tennis tournament on Wednesday.
St. Marys won by a score of 3-2 over Clearfield, while Punxsutawney was a 4-1 winner over No. 3 seed Elk County Catholic.
St. Marys won both doubles matches en route to its win over Clearfield, while Punxsutawney swept all three singles matches in their victory.
Punxsy and St. Marys will meet on Oct. 12 at a site and time to be determined for the D-9 crown.
