WARREN, Pa. – In partnership with Employer Strategic Partnerships / Quick Staff of Warren, WCCBI is excited to launch the first job fair of 2023.

The first job fair of the year will be held on Wednesday, March 22 from Noon – 5 p.m. at the Warren Public Library. The fair holds with one of WCCBI’s current missions, attracting new workers to Warren County.

“An annual event sponsored by WCCBI, the job fair series’ goal is to connect job seekers to local employers currently hiring,” the WCCBI said. “Representation from numerous industry sectors will be available for on-sight interviews.”

Matching current county businesses with new employees also helps the employers grow as well.

“We have a lot of businesses that are looking for people and we’re trying to figure out ways that we can get the job seeker to the employer,” WCCBI Director of Chamber Operations and Tourism John Papalia said during the first 2022 job fair.

The fairs can also be a way for those new to the area to find out more about what Warren County has to offer. One job seeker mentioned as they walked in last year that they had just moved to the area and were trying to find more information about local employers.

“It gives that person who’s not from Warren County (ideas) like, ‘You know what maybe I should go check that out. See what’s here. Maybe I take a job,'” Papalia said. “While you’re here, you kind of realize how much we have to offer. A lot of outdoor recreation, a lot of good restaurants, you know, wonderful theater, all those things that Warren County offers. I mean, that’s the ultimate goal. If you can get somebody who wants to relocate here in Warren County that’s always, always awesome.”

This event is open to the public and free to attend. WCCBI staff encourage anyone wishing to apply for a job to come prepared with a resume.

For up-to-date information on the job fair event, you can follow the WCCBI event Facebook page, visit their website (www.wccbi.org), or call their office at 814-723-3050.

Any employer looking for a vendor space, at the event, is encouraged to e-mail John Papalia at [email protected].
