Soccer: Port Allegany/Smethport Tops Forest Area

PORT ALLEGANY, Pa. – Behind two Olivia Schott goals, Port Allegany/Smethport beat visiting Forest Area, 4-2, at Port Allegany in girls soccer action.

Evin Stauffer and Jessica Bienkowski also scored in the win with Bienkowski’s goal coming on a penalty kick.

BRADFORD 13, CSAT (NY) 0

SALAMANCA, N.Y. – Behind hat tricks from Madi Cowburn and Bella Prince Bradford rolled past CAST out of Buffalo, N.Y., 13-0, in the opening round of the Angela Morton Tournament in Salamanca, N.Y.

Cowburn added a pair of assists with Prince picking up one helper. Maddie Emerson also scored twice in the victory.

PORT ALLEGANY 7, WILLIAMSON 0

GALETON, Pa. – Port Allegany opened its season in style, blanking Williamson 7-0 in the first game of the Galeton Tournament.

River Cramer had a monster game for the Gators, scoring five goals. Noah Yeager had a goal and two assists for Port, while Aidan Emerick added the other goal. Alec Kiser and Ty Guilds also added assists.

Guilds was in net for Port, making 16 stops in the shutout victory. Glenn Barnes was in net for Williamson.

                          

ST. MARYS 11, BROOKVILLE 3

ST. MARYS, Pa. – Tanner Fox scored four times to lead St. Marys to an 11-3 win over Brookville in the opening round of the Elk County Bucktail Tournament.

OLEAN (N.Y.) 3, BRADFORD 2

ALLEGANY, N.Y. – Thomas Bates scored the third of three second-half Olean (N.Y.) goals, as the Huskies rallied past Bradford, 3-2, in the opening round of the Allegany-Limestone Large School Tournament.

Bradford led 2-0 at halftime on goals by Chris Coneely and Jake Franz but could not hold the lead in the second half.
