Slippery Rock up to No. 9 in Latest AFCA Division II Top 25 Poll

WACO, Texas – Slippery Rock, which beat Edinboro 28-21 last week, moved up one spot to No. 9 in the latest American Football Coaches Association Division II Top 25 poll released on Monday.

While the Rockets are in the Top 10, it will actually be IUP, which checks in at No. 19 in the latest rankings following a 45-0 win over Clarion, which will play in the PSAC Championship Game. The Crimson Hawks will host Shepherd, which held steady at No. 3 following a 37-14 win over East Stroudsburg, at 3 p.m. on Saturday.

In the Divison I poll, Penn State moved up one spot to No. 15 following a 45-14 win over Indiana.

Carnegie Mellon, which was idle last week, remained at No. 17 in the latest Division III poll, while Washington & Jefferson was also represented among PAC schools in the Others Receiving Votes category.
